Just curious. Can you lock the contour so you don’t accidentally tilt it

No way to lock contour out. We recommend using 1,2, and 3 return to cut buttons to avoid hitting it.

This is in the manual for a 635F platform and might work for your situation. manuals.deere.com/omview/OMHXE127805_19/KR43067,0000250_19_20090403.html

@@ntsoren79 Thanks, last season was my first year with the machine. I did find that in the book as well. The annoying phrase to me in the book was "high engine idle". Why didn't they just say high throttle?
@SilverGleaner3 жыл бұрын
@@pbau7769 High engine idle means full throttle with no load.

@@SilverGleaner Tx. It is a dumb phrase. JD only has three throttle settings with no clear description so to me it is probably idle, high idle, & full throttle.

@@pbau7769 It's a phrase long used in the industry and at mechanics school it was used all the time. "Rated RPM" is full throttle or high idle that has the rpm lowered by the load applied. With the load bringing the speed down to a predetermined, best economical working under load rpm. You look to run the machine under load at rated speed or rpm. "High Idle" Is full speed with no load. "Low Idle" is the RPM of the engine set at its slowest speed with no load. Deere screwed it all up when they came with the stupid 3 position throttle. Even dumber, they first had a 2 position throttle. Low Idle and High Idle. I like a full range throttle like in my R52.
