I'm a dedicated Cliff fan since 1965 I've seen him in concert several times and met him backstage when he was in "Time" in The Dominion theatre I think it was 1986 I'm now a 71 years old great grandmother and when we all get in the car to go on holiday we're all singing Summer Holiday I can't wait to see his concert in the cinema on Nov 26th Best wishes Cliff for all the memories ❤️

I saw the film every evening for five nights running at the Trocadero Cinema in Rusholme, Manchester. By Friday, I could practically recite the whole film

I 'fell in love' with Cliff Richard when my aunt took me to the movies to see Summer Holiday. I was only 5 years old at the time. Cannot believe he's celebrating 60 years of entertaining. Lovely to hear and see the songwriters too. 😊

"Summer Holiday" was one of the first films I was allowed to see, so it has always remained in my memory, particularly for the song. If it was sixty years ago now, I was 11 years old in August 1963.

Wonderful story by two understated stars of the 60s and 70s I recall being taken to see Summer Holiday in early 1963, and recall the beautiful colour film at a time TV was black and white. On leaving the cinema the streets were snow covered, contrasting the warmth of the film. The saddest thing is that despite TV saturated with so-called talent shows, No one seems to be able to write meaningful and happy like this. What would it be like without Cliff Richards songs, Lennon and McCartney, and Ray Davies from the Kinks whose music from 60 years ago is heard daily on Radio today

On Radio 2 Tony Blackburn still presents songs from that era on 'Sounds of the 60s'. I often listen to Radio Caroline Flashback on the internet. The station also broadcasts on DAB in Cambridge, King's Lynn and Norwich.

I saw it in the states in 1963..I had to get the soundtrack right away...wore out the vinyl years ago But, since then been in love with cliff..sadly his popularity wasn't as big in America .. but I'm sure he had a large fan base thanks to that movie..

Yes. Cliff Richard drove the RT bus ( often mistaken for a Routemaster RM which is a different bus type) in the film Summer Holiday. When you watch Summer Holiday itself, the film dissolves into colour you DO see the actual Routemaster buses in the background before Cliff Richard arrives in the then even more famous RT type bus.
