When I visited Dumaguete in March I was approached by a beautiful 29-year-old Felipina who wanted to have a selfie with me. I am a 70. I rejected the idea of a relationship because of the age difference. Today, I consider her to be a friend, but she wants to be my girlfriend only to be with her. I don't want such a relationship, but I will help her and her two daughters. The Felipina, especially those who are single with children are longing to be with a mature foreigner because of the stability the foreigner offers. But as the father of two girls, one 22, & the oldest 31 who are college grads, I can't fathom being romantically involved with one of their freinds, colleagues, or associates around their age. 2nd Its hard to imagine we'd have a lot to talk about. It's a year and half physically present over 3 years as a resident. It's 5 years if you apply for residency and have been married less than 2 years. Then you have to be on a conditional visa first for two years. Hope that help clarify. Thanks.
