So hard to believe that this renovation was 600 pounds even with you doing the work yourselves. This looks like a kitches that would have cost 10 times that amount. Amazingly beautiful and so cozy looking. Makes one want to just drop by and have a chat.

Wow, I didn’t associate all the stones removed from the old kitchen with the stones along the driveway. When I think about moving all of that material once I’m overwhelmed, but twice, inconceivable. Hours and hours of backbreaking work, what an amazing family and wonderful volunteers. I salute you 🖖

Hi Jonathan, watching you throughout the year has been great, you learn so quickly and do your bit of hard graft to ensure the Chateau, the Cottage and the grounds are restored and regenerated in such a thoughtful way. I loved watching the wheel barrow races and you mixing the concrete in the mixer, hard work I know because I worked a couple of very hot days in a Queensland, Australia summer to help a friend build a fence and my job was to mix the concrete for the posts and wheel barrow it to each post hole. Would it be possible this year to show a day here and there of a day in your life at school or adventuring in your community or the grounds of the Chateau? You reminded me during this video just how much I learn on the job, having patient people who know what they are doing showing me the way, checking in to keep me on the straight and narrow and letting me get on with it, I find it is the best way for me to learn anything and it looks like that is what you do sometimes. I watched this happen and I’m still exhausted watching this speeded up version. When you started taking out that floor I just said, “Oh Lord, give these poor folks renewed energy.” Because it was so much rock. I couldn’t believe it. They must have gathered every rock from every field for miles! It has turned out so well and I can’t wait to see all of you sitting around the table enjoying a meal. I was just wondering how far is it from sink to stove? On TV it looks like a mile but I’m sure it’s not. Now for your bedroom upstairs which I know Tracy is dreading because of all the small rocks. Are you planning to put a wood burning heater upstairs? I know Stephanie is really loving the ones she’s put in. Good job all of you!
