As someone who has been in carpentry and home repair and remodeling for over 35 years, it is standard practice to install plaster board with staggered butt joints. It greatly reduces the risk of cracking of the joint compound. Espescially on ceilings.

Great progress and wonderful teamwork getting the ceiling completed (sorted). Terry, I absolutely love your explanations of the tasks you all are working on and the progress made. It's so different than how we talk in the US. I particularly enjoyed today's video, when after explaining the exact steps taken to get the boards cut + installed, you said that the last things to do to finish it all up was to 'Crack on and get it sorted'.
