It's called the overrun not backfires. And backfires is when the pressure from the engine goes back into the intake manifold, hence backfires. The correct term is afterfire lol. But yes, those overrun's are fucking annoying even though I have it tuned on my car, I barely use it

I dont thinknits an m3 killer...yeah maybe a stock m3 but a pure turbo on m3 would change the story as with any modded car. Its not just about the power its the drive and ability to put the power down. Handling suspension gear ratios transmission. All that has to be taken into consideration.

IMO the cleanest way to have that gauge set up is how I have mine set up on my f22. I replaced the headunit in my m235i with a 10.25 inch android form AVIN. Being that it is a android it can most likely run MHD. I personally use bootmod3 via a optional bluetooth agent. I can open the bootmod3 app right on my head unit and have all the gauges right there. I am fairly sure there is a similar way to do that for MHD.

Stock 335i is like 20k. Plus all mods all together let's say AT MOST at 10k. So, for a total of 30k, you have a car that can shit on like 90% of the cars on the road. For a decent M3, stock is like 40k...
