I watched your video when you first picked up that unit. I think I was just as excited as you were. Glad to see you've been keeping it busy mostly. Like V belt said, I think they are the best on the market and hopefully they listen to guys like you so that someday, if I can buy one, it will be better than ever!! Bandit it working on these I’m in good communication with them. Already got the new pre cleaner system. Wonderful design by bandit, they ain’t like some big corporations like CAT or cummins they actually get things done

Almost could say bandit welder works for deezzzzee. Nuts also Seriously tho these chippers need way more strength than they come with. I think bandit is the best option but room for improvement especially for that huge price tag

RDS, weatherguard , and better built are the ones we've had the best luck with. Aluminum is nice for weight and no rust getting in your fuel.

Thats exactly what I was going for with the aluminum. I’ll see if the new tank they send me cracks too, they did take care of me right away send them a photo of the crack and Theyer getting right on it for a replacement.

Another comment I have is 😊 the discharge shoot should be longer. Having it only the length of chipper can see why so so much of flying chips come back and stick to those screens, and cause your headache with clogging. Yes you are so right on the slow shot bleed of, have had this happen to me on different brand, can never get them to stay in up or down position.

It could by a smidge longer, I can see the length does help lesser chance of tree damage however they could of made the chute larger over all, I swear it’s the same size as the 18-19xp models

Thank you for showing 😊 the problems with the build. That fuel filter housing should be old school type ( steel) with sock diaper type fuel filter, who would make a plastic housing for what the chipper is made to do. The whole DEF air filter system seems like a after thought just to make it more Tir 3or4, just a cheap add on. Shame on Engineering at the company.

It should be! That’s how the hydro filter is. Def is the afterthought of all equipment 🤣

Thank you my man. I’ve had good tanks with them but this is the first aluminum tank. I’m bummed out big time, but Theyer taking care of it

I dig what you're doing! I'm tooling up to run a similar operation as yours here in Southern Oregon. If I can purchase a Bandit, I'm going to implement your suggestions. What state/area are you based out of?

@4:56 you mention the tensioning of the pump. Is that the main pump they use to supply the undercarriage?

Yes this is your only hydraulic pump. Runs everything including track functions. You can easily check tension with the front cover off of the engine. When it was loose it was a very short moment slip under large loads when tracking but a slight adjustment all it needed.

Cool thanks. Interesting they run a single and don’t run a pump off the front cover via a gear drive of sorts.

@@BrendonVorio so this pump does run off the front pulley of the motor but off set for fitment. Way better stronger larger pump than mobark, I swear their hydro pump is no bigger than the power steering on my truck 🤣

Delete and tune to 400-450hp. Get rid of all the emissions crap. It’ll be like a whole new chipper

Hehehe it will happen clutch is good for about 420HP so ya it will happen sooner or later
