@vaulthecreator I remember when it and the LWM4 were kings of the D1 DZ. Decent damage, crazy high RPM and shot like a laser. Back in the day I think I had 1500 (give or take a few hundred) of spare AR ammo. It was great!

One of my first ever rifle builds with striker, umbra and the modifier that reduces mag size but increases ROF and Reload speed when close to an enemy. It slaps. Also, Aces and Eights is just crazy being able to proc its talent so fast

U can also add the Chatterbox Talent with it, and oh Boy it does wonder as a feeling for the Div1

There’s a named M4 assault rifle with the cosmetic of the LVOA-C coming at some point called “Lexington”. I don’t care how much RoF you add to the Lightweight M4, it has absolutely nothing in common with the version from Division 1.

I tried this when the update came out, it’s not as powerful as the obvious m60 which carries me past 40 but it’s real fun also with the chatterbox talent

The kick on the ACR SS seemed a bit excessive which was a shame. Have you tried the Urban MDR? It’s shockingly smooth. I reluctantly picked it in a Descent run because the other options were trash. I ended up keeping it for quite a while, it’s real good.

All depends on what build you're running it with, and how good you are at controlling recoil. That will determine if you want handling or crit mods

Yo Rogue, have you tried out the Black Friday Named M249 since the Pestilence buff? It’s a beast if you work around the negatives of it’s talent, the damage went down for base M249 but RPM went up and the talent makes up for its damage loss with 22% weapon damage. I like it I think it’s pretty fun and underrated, definitely a gun I don’t see people talk about.

So now that the rifles are full auto, what's the point of the rifle class? Why not redesignate the weapons to their respective (and proper) classes? LWM4, LOVAc, Sig CQB (and others) become ARs again. The M1A, M17, m28 and others become marksman rifles. Thus separating semi auto and bolt action marksman rifles.

In Descent specifically, you just have to get lucky and have it as a selectable option at the beginning of a Loop. In the normal game, it's in the general loot pool for Rifles. So best shot at getting one is to just play Targeted Rifle content 👍

In reality every other game the M4 carbine Issa in that I played or is fully auto even ...dun dun dun. Division 1 its full auto. They changed a few weapons from d1 to d2 it wad the first yellow weapon I got in d2 I was ecstatic then when I fired it was semi auto I was bummed out. Because was one my favorite gun to use in d1 , Syphon Filter , Just Cause , just to name a few.

Bruh they can literally put the lightweight M4 to the AR section. Now that they have made it full auto, all they gotta do is buff the RPM. Hope at least the new Lexington is all we're expecting it to be.

The Lightweight M4 can be farmed from anywhere in the general game, with the best chances coming from Targeted Rifle content. In Descent, you need to get lucky and have it show up as an option from the new weapon selector at the start of each loop

Were you living under a rock during the Seasonal Characters and St Elmo & Oro nerf fiasco? The devs definitely listened to the complaining and rolled it back. I know it’s like a fad to just trash the developers at this point in the game’s life cycle, so do what you need to do to get your pats on the back from the other whiners, but don’t pretend like the developers ignore literally everything the community puts forth.
