I love this interpretation of this scene. Honestly it makes so much sense that both men would be crying, Odysseus is crying out of rage (and the fact man is just so fed up and tired of everything at this point) whereas Poseidon is crying from pain (because lets face it, being stabbed several times from your own trident is gonna make you shed a few tears). Incredible work!!

I couldn't agree more! Plus this isn't just physical pain, I doubt Poseidon will get that eye back. If he doesn't then it'll be a constant reminder of how he got brutally mutilated by Oddeyuss. Not to mention the scars that might remain since Oddeyuss was using the Trident. God made weapon really hits different. Physical pain, long term mental pain, and a bruised reputation; the tenacious trio 😂

well, actually a large amount of them are influenced by the canon animatic, and the reason the blood was red (with gold specks) in canon was 'cause gold blood on a golden trident didn't look good. probably another reason this animatic went with gold blood, but NOT a gold trident.

I love everything about this video. I just want to eat this with how the colors perfectly glowed so wonderfully, like what??? Also, I love the detail of Odysseus's eyes just full on red to showcase that he was no longer a human but a monster instead. Because the similarities of Poseidon and Odysseus's eyes are literally just drawing my attention on how they are now somewhat equal despite Odysseus actually being just a mortal man. This is by far one of my favorite scenes just because of how it’s sung and the pure (no joke intended) ruthlessness of Odysseus. Also Poseidon screaming in pain is perfect

1:17 is cool because its clear to the audience that poseidon has had enough, hes been humilliated and changed. Pity that odysseus didnt say he was finished. its very clear that ody is mournfull, literally seeing red. and its my own interpretation here but i think odyseuss here had a flash of a thought/ He wasnt going to let the god leave with dignity, not after everything.
