It's not "lore-accurate", it's Percy Jackson accurate, that's the take of Percy Jackson, in no part of Greek mythology is actually stated that the ichor is gold in color, in fact the color isn't stated at all, may as well be red, it's only stated that it's called ichor, but still people talk and behave like they're truly knowledgeable of greek mythology like the people actually knowledgeable of their stuff are, I'm not saying that I am, I am most certainly not like many others, but that's why I'm saying this here, what I do know and what's also been said by people that do know about this is that ichor has never been stated as gold, that's Percy Jackson's cannon and take on it, probably to also differentiate it from normal blood and to make it clear that it's "godly" blood, and somehow everyone agreed at the same time to decide that it was actually cannon and it became essentially like a cultural thing that was simply assumed and shared, so the greek gods *had* to have golden blood since it's what it was assumed and what people believed, and then missinformation spread from one to another and people that heard it from others but didn't actually know about what was said about it in the mythology assumed that ichor was truly and irrefutably gold in color, but it's really not, the color is unknown since the color isn't really stated and it could very well be red, in fact since the color isn't actually ever said it would probably be red, or if not it could very well be another color that's not red or gold, I am open to be given new information or to be corrected if there's something that I missed so I can search for it myself, but this is what I know and what's also been explained to me, the true ichor's color in true mythology outside of Percy Jackson was never ever stated, only that it was called "ichor"

In the illiad it mentions the blood being different because they do not eat bread or drink wine. In most other texts it talks about it being a watery substance. Most scholars say they had golden hued blood because of the honey in the ambrosia, some suggest that it was clear because of the relation to water… some even believe it to be the color of wine because of that passage. Others defer to the molten lead iteration. And some think it’s red because of calypso offering a rosey hued nectar to Hermes. Some even believe it to be blue as they think copper is what is within the God’s veins. But from my tiny research I found that it’s likely that a creature that has no need to breathe would have clear blood.

I love that Odysseus cries when he talks about his crew. He fought with all of them for 10 years, they had been killed because of Odysseus’s action and it clearly haunts him. He finally gets to leash out of the person that caused their deaths even if he can never get them back, at least he make Poseidon suffer.

I love love love the addition of Hermes/Aeolus coming to his aid in that moment and its not just him using the wind bag as a jetpack. it makes more sense in the setting and I'm glad to see animations coming out with that addition. I also love your touch of the ghosts of his men coming to help him as well. Again it makes a lot of sense thematically and is just better than him dashing around 600 times at inhuman speeds. Ody is like 1/4 gods but hes still a man and needs the aid of gods to do this kind of thing. Also seeing Polites there actually makes me cry and I love it

This is amazing!!! I love how when Ody gets stabby stabby with Poseidon, you use red blood and add gold flecks to it to not make it blennd withe the trident! Something else that really stood out to me was when Ody calls "600 strike!!!" You get 600 Ody's that turn into all of his men! And at the end of that scene, on the right, you see Eurylochus, and on the left, you see Polities! I am so gonna watch this over and over! ❤❤❤

I’ve watched several other artists depictions of this song. None of them hit like this one did, particularly the scene where the duplicates of Odysseus turned into the 600 men, powerfully wonderful! Excellent job ^^ ngl this whole song has been throwing me off cuz I’m like, Odysseus is mostly mortal how would he even fight a god, but I like your idea of the Hermes shoes. It threw me off at first, but in the end it makes more sense for him to stand a chance against one of the three strongest gods.

Oh my god! This is so good! It may be my favourite interpretation yet! Giving him Hermes’ shoes feels so hype and between that and the red inhuman glow in his eyes it really sells that in this moment Odysseus is not “just a man.” He’s become something more and maybe worse. The exact monster Poseidon accuses him of being in the end, but also pushed him to become. In the song I didn’t fully get how he beat Poseidon when he’s at least mostly human and Poseidon is a god and I’ve seen different animatics with some good interpretations but this one really sells it with Odysseus channeling that godly heritage of his own. Love it!
