600 SUBS SPECIAL! FAMOUS 1987 Otis Series 1 Elevonic 401 Traction Elevators at 2 Eaton, Hampton, VA

These are the AMAZING, BEAUTIFUL, FAST AND FAMOUS Otis Elevonic 401 Traction Elevators at 2 Eaton Harbor Centre in Hampton, Virginia. During my trip to the Outer Banks, I went over and stopped here, and not just because I have 600 Subscribers now, cause of how AWESOME you guys are, I also wanted to upload this as it's now been 24 years since elevator photography began, when Dieselducy filmed his first video at the Hilton in Atlanta back in 1993!!!! And since Dieselducy's take of these elevators from 2011 is his most viewed video, I figured, it would be a great time to upload this!!!! Anyways, these elevators are Very Nice, Mirrored, Chrome Paneled, Otis Elevonic 401 Elevators with Older Series 1 fixtures from 1987, and this building has a nice atrium and beautiful 1980's architecture. The elevators are very fast, and run like the day they were put in, and are in MINT CONDITION!!!!! These elevators have a very nice Grand View, are very smooth, and also have NICE CLASSIC LEVELING!!!! Also, as you guys know, Andrew went here again in December 2016, and you probably noticed it appeared that these elevators were getting modded, but I went here in May of 2017, and I'm happy to say, NOTHING has CHANGED!!!! It looks like these will be staying original, let's hope that doesn't change!!!! The far right elevator was modded with Series M2 Fixtures and was Out of Service, but that's fine cause the Elevonic 401's are better Anyways!!!!! They are a Classic, installed in the 1980's, Computer Based/Microprocessor Controlled Elevators were VERY AHEAD Of their time!!!!! I did also ride the service elevator in this video as well, along with the glass ones!!!! Anyways, with that being said, enjoy some FAMOUS AND AWESOME Otis Elevonic 401 Glass Elevators from the 1980's!!!!

Floridian Elevators damn omg your so lucky! the "classic leveling" is intelligent leveling. Intelligent leveling is what makes me love Otis elevonic 401s the most. I feel like gen2 is a modern day version of the elevomic 401 because its also intelligent leveling. anyways congrats reaching six hundred subs. Don't expect a Series 1 video on my KZbin channel for another 10 months or until I visit Charlotte because they have a HELL load of Otis Series 1's

Specialty Elevators & UEE's by Technicalboy3000 I wouldn't say that cause Gen2's can only go up 28 floors. Elevonic 401's could go up over 100+ floors and also travel much faster than Gen2. Elevonic R or maybe Skyrise is probably the closest equivalent to Elevonic 401 now.

Specialty Elevators & UEE's by Technicalboy3000 I'll probably get more Series 1's when I go up to Canada soon. LOL Toronto and Montreal both have quite a few Elevonic 401 systems with Series 1 fixtures. Also, 100 Yonge St in Toronto has VERY EARLY Otis Series 2 Elevators, 1989 Otis Elevonic 411s (BigElevatorDude707 mistakenly labeled them as being Elevonic 401s)
