I generally don’t comment however, I have had a bad experience with the McBook pro 16 inch and thought I’d share. I use it for mainly audio and some video editing, it ran well and held up under the intense workload but it also has let me down. Due to the massive power and thin design these machines get hot ... so hot they hit thermal shut off. The first one was a lemon, overheating just doing research for assignments, not to mention the battery died at 9% every 10 mins. It also froze in the studio and wasted a days work troubleshooting (also the fan noise would have ruined any decent recording opportunity). The second one was better battery wise but it still ran hot. When was plugged in to power and could handle the plugins for mixing, when on battery it would become noisy, overheat and shut down. Even basic web browsing forces thermal shut down ... so I’m taking it back ((tomorrow) this one is about 2 weeks old). Lovely computer to operate but absolutely awful for anybody wanting to use it as a professional tool.

TMSC, which is making ARM CPUs for Apple basically selling their CPUs as 7nm, despite technically is similar to Intel's 10nm. In case of Intel's RISC processor it cannot be even compared to the best ARM chips around here, just because Intel spent years to optimize complex (I want to highlight this word: complex) calculations on their processors. On operations, that could be predicted, like video, sound editing, complex media processing, any x86-64 will be far ahead of ARM for years. They serve different purposes. ARMs could be on 12" MacBooks, barely more. Or Apple want to remind younger fans the PowerPC times, that would be funny enough. I remember Apple saying that new iPads is more perfomance-packed than most of laptops or something, and then playing Hot Lava and other games on it. Reminded me graphics my first PC. I think ARM macs will make people feel the same, if they will be released.

Yes, but people usually don't buy Mac to game. It's because they are developers and are in the Apple ecosystem. I quite frankly think that MacOS is better than Windows too, as it's a Apple's own software built on top of Unix which makes programming so much better compared to Windows. There's a reason why Apple isn't a failed company, and it's because professionals prefer the products. Regular people who just need basic computing devices should opt for Windows. Also, don't game on Mac. Mac is terrible for gaming.

Neither , its coolant system is so bad that the core i9 has an extreme thermal trottiling most time , working worse than an i5 8350H , it doesn't has a good design and isn't a powerful product , it's simply an useless and overpriced Apple product that can't use the beast hardware that it has, because the cooling solutions doesn't are pretty for Apple.

Also that productivity cames from the SO , macOS and you can run it in Hackintosh devices , which are huge better in performance as in price.

As someone who is into graphic design, I say this laptop is worth every penny depending on exactly what field your in. If you're looking for an entertainment device or a Facebook machine, look toward the MacBook Air or better yet, a Chromebook. Because this investment might be a huge waste of money for you.

I might switch back to PC when Serif gives their Affinity suite a 2.0 release, which is when these licenses expire and you have to pay for their software again

Agree! The use of Mac and macOS is not ideal for gaming. However, since iOS is very good at both working and gaming, I do hope Apple can do the same for macOS cuz this OS is still so much more than all of what it can do so far. This is a great OS and I love it much more than the fully-closed operating system "iOS", which always gives me the feeling of being prisoned.
