60054 & 60066 at Yate & Westerleigh oil terminal 6B13 . 3rd May 2021

60054 & 60066 top n tailed on 6B13 due to the line closed on the normal route the train was routed via Severen tunnel Patchway and Bristol parkway the train had to be top n tailed to get it in to the oil terminal branch line 60066 makes lots of white smoke when the power is put on . A quick trip to the Westerleigh oil terminal to see 60054 doing some shunting moves 60066 is out of sight .

Keynsham-Trains Think it just needs to warm up, often get the smoke if it's been idling a while and then has to perform, probably burnt off after 10 minutes or so.

Thanks for viewing . 60054 can now run on a new fuel almost like Bio fuel a 66 from DB has been changed to run on the same fuel .

Euro VI emissions standards. Actually I wonder why no one has thought of fitting and EMD engine into a Class 60. I don't think anyone has have they?

I think they have, but to fit the GM power unit into the 60 would have required too much work on the floor I understand.

@@keynsham-trains Yep I’ve not driven it since it had the fuel change, think it’s being kept based off Margam for evaluating.
