Brilliant work Phil! I would have gone down myself but I had work to do, which annoyed me greatly! All the best! :D

Cheers mate, the Bletchley - Peak Forest job did switch to a solid 66 turn a few months ago but as more Super 60s come back online the majority of aggregate workings will switch to the Big Brush Beasts.

Cheers Ken, The cold wasn't too bad as the train was actually there, the biggest test of patience was later when I waited nearly 4 hours for a none existent working in the perishing cold :/

V. nice! I've started seeing a DB 60 at the aggregate works between Ashburys and Gorton on my way home of late...nice change from the usual EWS 66 :)

Thanks mate, it's usually a 60 but the lack of light going into winter is the bigger problem :/

Great shunting action Phil! Love these kind of vids and you did well in testing light and a nippy morning, thanks, Ken

That's an oddly shaped level crossing! Never knew there were some in Preston docks too. Great vid!

Nice video for the time of year. Had the joys of haulage over the crossing. Sadly in a taxi

It's actually a quite common design/layout for industrial areas, Trafford Park (a once great site) still has some remnants of it's once massive rail network which usually ran adjacent to the roads (with no fencing) and these crossings are there though none are in use. There is also a still active (though no trains run at the minute) in which there is a level crossing on what is essentially a massive round about, with the tracks passing through the "island" in the middle, again at TP. Cheers :)
