To my own research In USA, individuals living in cars due to partial homelessness result from a complex interplay of factors. High housing costs relative to income, stagnant wages, and income inequality drive this issue. Job loss, weak social support, medical expenses, evictions, and lack of affordable housing also contribute, while systemic problems and inadequate policies further perpetuate the phenomenon.

In the 90’s our corrupt government, nationwide, decided to tear down most of the housing projects and instead pay rents (section 8), bringing millions of renters into the rental market- one of many reasons housing is out of reach for a growing number of Americans, all the reasons created by government- The housing projects were well planned, they were near schools, bus lines, walking distance from industrial areas with work, they had health clinics/hospitals nearby, parks and recreation centers- But they were planned & built during a time when our government was semi decent, semi honest and sorta wanted to fix things, then the 90’s brought us what has become the most corrupt, most disconnected, most self serving government that even surpassed the corruption of the late 1800’s/early 1900’s that brought us the Great Depression and wars- This tearing down housing projects, turning them into lofts for the yuppies then building multi billion $ ‘solutions’ for the ‘unhoused’, anyone can see are failures is symbolic of our times
