Good capture Philip, she was struggling on the damp rails and it was quite dark judging by how bright the carriage lights were. Best wishes, David

Slippery rails plus a pacific requires a cautious start. Well done driver! Recently had a trip from there behind a Jubilee class 4-6-0. It had 10 cars plus a Brush 4 in tow and pulled away quite smartly. Given dry rails, Flying Scotsman would have had no trouble at all.

Does it surprise me to hear that HE is struggling? Not at all! Not when he's been sounding like a rattling tin can since June! One would think those in charge of his welfare would treat him with much more respect
