What a shot Luke, the wheel spin though 😳

Cheers Jamie. Was nice to not be swarmed by crowds. I think a lot of people expected that at new street hence why a handful of people were there

You were also on the correct platform for the good shots. Again people get close because you could have been famous for the youtube train spotting calamity of another local commuter blocking your shot. But you got the last laugh.

Cracking shots Luke, I bet there were some confused commuters seeing a one coach train hauled by Scotsman Lol. Cheers, Brian.
@blackcountrysteamvideos80212 жыл бұрын
Thanks Brian. I Was very surprised to not have a swarm of people descend on the end of the platform. If my memory is correct it’s Scotsman’s first visit to New Street since 1964 but I’m sure somebody more knowledgeable will be able to correct me if I am wrong.

@@blackcountrysteamvideos8021 I think most people prefer to be close up on same platform but I'd have done same as you & took my chances lol. I got it at Widney Manor. Yes, I saw her in 64 as was a fireman at Saltley but no idea if shes been back, as you say, someone will tell you lol.

Apple green is the colour of the LNER Scotsman. This baby is under the care of the NRM. He looks fine just as he is!!!!

Not much wheel slip, but then one support coach wasn't much of a load! Nice camera work though.
@Eleina19512 жыл бұрын
What precisely is a wheel slip? What causes it?
@blackcountrysteamvideos80212 жыл бұрын
It’s when the driving wheels lose adhesion and spin around. Common causes of wheel slip are wet or greasy rail head.
