Yea it’s good idea to try sound proof the inside, as much as do love the sound of kitty cat and turbo boosting. Over time your ears won’t love you. Best to do now and help your ears now while got the truck and time to do it. Just need somebody to help you do good paint job now and get rid of that yellow stripe hah. You think you’ll paint her purple or maybe go with mix purple/blue? Didn’t glue the wood floor down? a after few months of USA roads, wouldn’t be surprised if some starts creak a bit. Good video. ps hope you had the truck good look over and double checked the turbo/engine is ok. Seen a few videos of trucker where they had their turbo blow with no warning. Stay safe.

That looks great 👍 does the floor float on top of the styrofoam, do the door jams hold it in place.
@travelinpack2 жыл бұрын
Yes and yes. It does float in the sense that it is not glued or nailed in but when he put those metal plates and drill all the way through that secures it on each side. The expansion contraction movement will be on the bias cut anyway - so he laid it in the right way for this.

watching the extras atthe ned, I was mighty surprised to see you not using a tapping block on that flooring. I don't know WHY, but when i did anything like that or tongue and groove, I always used a tapping block.

This flooring doesn't have a normal tongue and grove, it has a locking grove. As long as the grove is clean the tongue locks with a snap

Good job! Did you ever try hardwood dance floor, which has a springy underlayment to give you a sprung feeling when walking on it. Thought it might be good on concrete floors to reduce fatigue, but is awkward to walk on. May be something to look into if looking for unique ideas to do a video on with woodworking projects - even non-dance tasks where workers may otherwise need to stand on concrete all day.

I heard the “EIB NETWORK” in the background and it made me sad. RIP Rush 2021 Also you should find a little flexible rubber boot to go around the break pedal linkage and into the floor. You could do that with the rest of the shifter too.
