What are you talking about that floor came out perfect couldn't have done any better. Great videos keep them going. Can't wait to see the first time back on the road. Happy anniversary!

There are some of us owner ops who would definitely not be bored with this project, even if it was a 5 part min series. Knowledge is key, and you're providing that.

I know exactly how you feel, I'm fixing my Dads old 79 Pete daycab that he gave me. My truck sat for 11 years. I have a 290 small cam Cummins with a 13 speed. This past weekend I finally Drove her to a weight station that was just down the road so i didn't go through all 13 but, I knew that's where i wanted to be, in my 79 Pete. For the Past year I have been getting it running, cleaning it, installing lights, rewiring almost everything, buying tires and installing them myself. Now I have a power steering leak i need to fix and some other little odds and ends. But just like what you say, "little by little". By the end of the project (if there is an end) it'll be worth it. After this truck, I'm moving on to our 82 Western Star. Thank you for the videos and taking the time to film them man, I really enjoy your content.

Beautiful truck. Shes coming together nicely. My father bought a mid-late 60's Kenworth W900 day cab we might be restoring and adding a sleeper. 8v71 2 Stroke Detroit backed with twin stick transmission. Shes rough but could be a gorgeous ride!

My dad drove a 379, I remember going in trips with him when I was 12 or 13. I was a skinny kid and had a hard time squeezing between the factory seats to get in the sleeper. Those seats look nice but they take up a lot of real estate. Keep plugging away, I love watching your progress.

Happy Anniversary, I've wanted to re-do my 94 Mack Ch I've owned since new and still work. If I spend the money the wife would kill me especially with my daughter going into her senior year of high school and her brother a rising junior. Colleges and even trade schools ain't cheap! So I gotta wait and live vicariously thru you I guess.

I've been watching this since you first picked it up. I'm very impressed by your sheer willingness to just keep going and fixing all the stuff nobody wants to do and this truck is really becoming a beautiful piece of equipment. Congrats on all the hard work accomplished! A fellow diesel mechanic ...
@rudedog3024 жыл бұрын
I was thinking just before you said it that the shift boot would probably cover up your mistake. Like that floor. Like the small rounds on a 359, everybody wants to either put the Big rounds on, or they want to fit the 389 headlight assemblies to their truck to make everyone think it's a new truck. Tell her she can put carpet in her Peterbilt, when she gets one. Whoa there, stainless screws, those sheet rock screws are going to rust like crazy. I have that exact seat in my 379. You could take your RH arm rest off, if need be, I never use mine, with all the shifting I do, it just gets in the way. Great video, great progress.

Happy Anniversary to you and your wife loved this update that floor looks great And as a truck driver myself yes you want air in the seat... on the other hand you don't want to be at the top of the travel either..... or you hit a bump and end up leaving the seat...
@keitht75464 жыл бұрын
Great job on the floor. That is one thing is getting past the seats to get in the sleeper. That old girl starts and run good that shows she was well taken care of before she was parked to rest by the last owner and the work you did to awaken her. ✌🏽

Floor looks awesome! Great job! If I may make a suggestion on the headlights? I know you said you were getting a set or the original mounts,,,, but! If you can,,, get a set of double J. brackets. The lights won’t vibrate goin down the road, and they stay tighter with the double J’s.
