I have been to Northern Greece twice to visit friends. I could see the Mt. Athos location from the house. This area is truly an awesome area. I would go on prayer walks. Paul the Apostle was imprisoned in this area. You can see the tower where he was from the road. I can honestly say God reached out to me again. The results were phenomenal. That's another story. We all would benefit from time spent in this environment. There is s desperate need in humanity for calling of and strengthening of mind , body and soul. To refresh the spirit of being an element of this Earth we were given and our duties to it, and appreciation and respect if it. That concept seems forgotten,with loss of it value and importance. One of the many reasons humanity and our Earth are in trouble !!!

@@alexandermarquardt597 I am sure that you are missing the fact that monasteries have saved most of the ancient manuscripts about almost anything, from philosophy to medicine or geography, copying them by hand for centuries and keeping them away from invaders. Not only Greek, Roman or Byzantine, but also Islamic and Jewish thelehrhaus.com/scholarship/the-christian-monks-who-saved-jewish-history/ . @@alexandermarquardt597 You thought is right, but these people, trust me I have been there twice, know very well what's going on outside. First of all, they have visitors from all over the world. I personally have met people even from Mexico on a trip to Mt. Athos, also world-class leaders are visiting the place every year, and last but not least some monks are given special permission to travel, usually with an artifact which is going to be presented in various cities-exhibitions etc. What I am trying to say here is that, although having their own rules and living in their own small world, they do influence a lot of people in multiple ways. The idea that they have no contact/influence with the outside world is wrong.

@@RaccoonNation Oh my friend I am so sorry for answering so late I can suggest you this prayer Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us, and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen. Id Also suggest saying Lord Jesus Christ have mercy on me and God have mercy on me also you have to say it from the heart plus pray whatever you would like about for example Good health having other people healthy too or for example praying for the people who have passed and Generally ask God with clean heart all those good things you would like also The testament says whenever you do something good to see people in the world it is like doing it to Jesus himself finally dont show off all the Good things you do do them from your heart and Not for other people to see eg donating something to someone in need. To sum up as the video said the most original Cristianity unfiltered is Orthodox so id advise you believe in Orthodox as believing something wrong on purpose id say is very very very bad for you as things have been altered in some aspects.Also get rid of all your sins by admitting them honestly to the preacher at the special session a few times a year idk how its called in English and ask him how often you should receive the holy communion which is a vital part of helping you near God and try not commiting sins on purpose or repeating them.Wish you all the best I may have made a few mistakes and in that case I am so sorry but I believe what I said is enough.If you would like to I would be very happy to hear you or have you ask me questions though as The scripture says Don't try to take the small stone from someones eye when you have a huge Stone.on yours (clear yourself first and then you will be able to see clearly to help him) and right now i am not very clear but as you asked help i tried to help you as best as I could whatever else you need truily ask me and i will try to reply (wish i see the message) GIVING YOU MY INFITE LOVE FROM GREECE!!!!!

@@lijohnyoutube101 I'm not religious, but I think that all human beings can live whatever life they choose to lead. All you are in control over are your own thoughts, feelings, ideas, actions, and yes, opinions. But no one else's. Do you really think the MILLIONS of hateful people who spend their time hurting others through crime, oppression, war, slavery, and other forms of hurt and control are improving the species? Do you think the millions of people spending HOURS of every day of their lives spewing hatred and arguing with others online over politics and religion and playing Xbox and binge-watching series shows and 'reality' shows on Netflix and Hulu, or wasting hours of every day playing Animal Crossing or arguing about politics on Twitter are doing something to improve society? They are choosing to live a life of pure simplicity. It's not too much different than a person or people who leave behind a societal life to live 'off-grid' in the mountains or desert or something. Something that i've been steadily seeing more of since about 2005 or so, but which people have been doing since forever. And in their minds, they are doing something fo the species; they're praying for it. And even if that means nothing and doesn't actually do anything, it sure beats being an angry American sitting behind their computer eating junk food from a box and angrily typing their grievances into a void like probably at least 75% of the country. THAT is sad. These men live a life of simplicity. They fish, grow vegetables, cook, bake, sew, study, make music, pray, meditate, debate, and make things to sell like soap and honey and other natural items. It would probably do our fast-moving modern society some good to slow down and turn off the wifi, detach from the FOMO - fear of missing out... on nothing important - and implement a lot of their habits. Even without praying if you aren't into that, the slowing down, and unplugging, and meditation, and fresh air, and gardening, cooking, baking, creating alone, would alleviate a TON of totally useless stress from MILLIONS of people. Especially now. Now is the perfect time to slow down and unplug and detach. EVEN if you're still working. ESPECIALLY if you're still working. Instead of coming home and going on Facebook and getting angry, try making some tea and reading a book, or listening to music that speaks to you and cooking a healthy meal. We can learn a lot from those who choose to reject the things that we are told by modern society, advertising , and propaganda that we should want and need. Most of it, we don't really want or need. Most of it really isn't that healthy for our hearts, minds, or bodies.

One doesn't go to heaven by being amazing, but by the amazing work of Jesus Christ.

We don't go to heaven because of doing things like these. We go to heaven because we know we are a sinner and Jesus died for those sins. Faith in His death and resurrectuon in Him gets us into heaven. We do these things the monks do and live a Christian life not to get to heaven but because we are forgiven and will get to heaven. John 3:16 Ephesians 2:8-9 God bless you 🙏

I think that too but I always remind myself that God sent his son Jesus to save us... So that whoever believes in him may not perish but have everlasting life.

It’s amazing how the religious beliefs, absurd to so many, can create such unbelievably beautiful stunning architecture. Not a believer in any of the organized religions, but,,:;;,;

Inner peace must be important. Only 3 hrs. sleep and great health. That is impressive.
