A widespread problem. Here in Australia, unwed teenagers were forced to give up their babies or told they died and adopted to other families. It is so unimaginably sad
@MeyaRoseGirl
@MeyaRoseGirl Ай бұрын
And in the US, unwed pregnant girls were sent to rural camps that were impossible to escape until they give birth. The babies were then taken over state lines with falsified documents, so once the girls were recovered enough to start looking for their babies, they were gone without a trace. This is unfortunately an extremely common problem. These so-called "good Christians" justified their human trafficking by saying they were placing the babies in "good Christian homes," but there's no guarantee of that. There's a pretty good chance the couple will be divorced within a few years. Adopted children a far more likely to be abused, abandoned, etc. How is that better than the kid being raised by a poor single mom who actually loves her kid? Since so many of the records are downright lies, if you are adopted, you really can't trust any of the documents, and your best bet is to put your DNA in a database and hope that it gets you some family connections that will help you uncover at least a part of the truth.

Umm..... Stolen generation anyone? My dad and uncle were on the government "hit list" because they were light skinned, due to one white grandparent. My nan and poppa had to do the midnight runner to keep them. I look like I'm fresh off a plane from England. I have absolutely nothing to make people think I'm Aboriginal, and people think I'm lying when I tell them. Because of this, Family Services NSW tried to convince me to give up my eldest because I was 17 when o had him. I refused. When my daughter (third child)!was born, they ended up getting them anyway. They were adopted out against mine and my husband's wishes (he's a Kiwi), even though they were only meant to be in temporary foster care (which I had stupidly agreed to ). Once adopted, we were no longer allowed to see them at all, and absolutely no contact. This wasn't back in the 60's and 70's. This was in 1995. It is still happening in Australia, it's just never spoken about.

It didn't just happen in Italy, last year it was reported that in Belgium the Catholic church sold about 30,000 Belgian children to adoptive parents without their mothers knowledge or consent from just after WWII until the mid 1980's. In Ireland it was reported to be 50,000 children sold for adoption without their mothers knowledge or consent until the late 1990's. The Catholic church must have been doing this practice all over Europe.

It was done in a lot of places. My dad didn't know he had a sister til he was 30yo. My gran never talked of her because her and the 2 older boys were put in care when she split with her husband (something that wasn't done in the 50s) when she married my grand dad they went to pick up the three children, only to be told the girl had died. Many years later, a lady showed up, saying she was my gran's daughter. Took a bit to overcome, but she was the spitting image of my gran's sister and acted like everyone in the family. This was in Australia, and my gran was not Catholic...

When the US gov stopped allowing our Native (indigenous) American children to be adopted to people outside of our tribes via the Indian Child Welfare Act of 1978 it appears they had another way to get more children!! Thank goodness SCOTUS recently upheld the Indian Child Welfare Act stating Native (indigenous) American children have to be adopted by tribal members!! A Christian couple were trying to steal a Native American lil boy from his BLOOD family who wanted him so they challenged the law & surprisingly they lost!! I was shocked that the law was upheld due to the makeup of SCOTUS but thank goodness we won this one!! We’d already lost to many of our Native children who were kidnapped from their families and forced into gov and/or church run residential schools (last gov ran residential school didn’t close until 1996) where Native children were terribly abused (many died there) & not allowed to practice their customs, culture, speak their languages or practice their religious beliefs etc and most were moved so far away from family they were lucky if they ever saw them!!! I saw a similar documentary of the Catholic Church tricking unwed mothers in Chile to part with their children to be adopted to the US. One man in his fifties reunited with his mother and younger siblings. There’s also the Belgians who kidnapped biracial children in Democratic Republic of Congo with the help of the Catholic Church and several women are coming out in search of their families. The worst experience for these women is that they were forced into a special orphanage and yet they weren’t orphans their mothers wanted them and their Belgian fathers didn’t want them and that’s how they ended up in orphanages. So cruel the Catholic Church has been to vulnerable women and their children.

SO What was the Church Supposed to do with all these babies being given away? They didn't go to the home and force the mothers to give the babies up. The parents did that. They took care of them and the women who were sleeping with men out of wedlock were possibly taking advantage of this good organization (the orphanage) like women today take advantage of birth control and abortion. Oh if i get pregnant I will just give him to the orphanage! Maybe the Orphanages were over run - likely they were. And since America wanted the children for Parents who desired to raise them - why wouldn't the Church seek some relief of the care and responsibility of the burden? Are they just supposed to keep gathering babies until they have no money to feed any of them and then you would say they are cruel for not feeding them?

My maternal aunt ran into the same bs. My mom's older sister was married in the court house just days before her then 18 yo husband shipped out to Vietnam. 9 months later, the Catholic hospital tried to shame her into giving up my cousin. Back then blue eyed blond babies were in huge demand and the church hospital was literally telling young mothers and couples with "too many" children to give up good looking babies or telling them the baby was born dead. Lots of adopted people finding out their real parents never intended to give them up. Another friend (married with 2 kids already) of my mother's was shocked in the 90s to find out her third child, a daughter had indeed survived and had been baby farmed out to a couple with money. They refused to let parents see their 'deceased' babies back then, and who knows who got buried in the baby's place.

Catholic Church has one of the most impressive track records in child trafficking, if not the most impressive one, worldwide. It's very sad how this institution has become a source of so much pain for so many (mostly) women and children. It's also not surprising that the Catholic Church favors "looking forward" over "looking back", because when doing the latter, it becomes hard to see a bright future for the institution...

Her and my mother have pieced together who he is. He’s a successful Broadway actor!! She’s never reached out though and never had any other children. It wasn't until we were both 50+ years old that my sister discovered that her birth Mom is Chippewa/ Ojibwa and an enrolled member of a Native American tribe, and I'm less than 20 % Norwegian. Adoption agencies lied and fabricated about the babies, and their ethnic background, just to put those babies into the arms of married couples who wanted them.

At the time that’s what you did and what happened when you became pregnant and the father ran. My grandmother though is where I cannot make any forgiveness for. She was about looks and how it would look at their church. Yet my grandmother was almost in her second trimester when she married her first husband. He’d been married prior and had two other children. Yet she treated my mom this way. She forced my mom to live in a maternity home then relented and allowed her to come home. My mom gave birth to a Boy and a girl whom she was forced to place. Sadly both were placed in separate homes. My brother’s family took kindness and allowed my mom and our family to be a part of the family. My sister though hates my mom and doesn’t understand she had no choice. She found us and had a chip on her shoulder against my mom from the first time she messaged her. My brother doesn’t even have contact with her and they’re full siblings.

Jesus was never religious, he was spiritual. Religion was created for control of different beliefs, separating the masses. Jesus believed in unity of humanity, not separation. I Never looked up to any Pope. I can sense things. My abilities show people behind the mask they wear. I've never been religious or felt comfortable in a church. God's church is nature.

This atrocity is something l can believe that really did happen. I was a Catholic child of the same time period this video speaks of. Catholic Charities seemed to me at that time while growing up, to be a very busy entity. Now l know why. And l am disgusted. Women, mothers, are NOT Disposable! This is incredibly heartbreaking for all individuals involved for forced separation, lies, and the deceit to steal from and abuse these women. We can never go back to such an existance for women, unwed mothers ever ever again. Brightest Blessings to whomever chooses to read this. 😔✌️❤️🦋🙏

This church is the gift that keeps on giving. Keep your kids away from these monsters. I absolutely hate this church. Any charges? Any lawsuits? That is straight up child trafficking. Selling them on an open black market.

A close family member was a child that came from Italy in the very early 1960's. Nothing has been learned of his history. Thankfully, he has a big wonderful family in the USA but knowing more info and his family in Europe would be wonderful, too.

I was born at Touro Infirmary, New Orleans LA my birth mother was sent to await my arrival at The Maud Billington Booth Home for Unwed Mothers , where she spent several weeks both before and after my birth. I spent years researching my first days weeks and months on this earth... I more then likely know more about my life then most of the world. What I know took years to unravel. A Louisiana baby is born in a state that still rules under .Napoleonic Rule Louisiana stands out as the only state in the United States whose legal system is rooted in the Napoleonic Code, a stark contrast to the English common law system followed by the other 49 states. This unique legal framework is a testament to Louisiana's rich history and cultural heritage, influenced by French and Spanish colonial rule.As such the laws that govern Louisiana adoption forbid any and all release of blood relatives names on adoptions documents. Thus the only way to search for birth parents in Louisiana is to petition the court to have one's records opened... due to a medical emergency ie:a bone marrow transplant... I know of only one case that has ever been successful in the state of Louisiana.

The RC Church did the same thing to young women in the US in the 50s and 60s, pressuring young women to give up their children and keeping bad paperwork on purpose so these women could never find their children

So sad. I can’t imagine the heartbreak these woman went through. Absolutely awful! My only hope is that all children went to good homes when they were adopted. Terrible situation on both ends of this situation.

But they did not all go to good homes Some went to homes where there was domestic violence , mental illness such as schizophrenia, emotionally and sexually abused plus the feelings of abandonment, alienation ,etc that can come with being adopted being cut off from your roots your history

This is true evil to do something like this. As a Christian, it breaks my heart to see how the Catholic Church treated these women and their children. It’s all greed for power and money. They are good people in all religions but these Catholic leaders think they are God but THEY ARE NOT. They are sinners just like us in need of a Savior. Please do not confess or pray to them. Pray directly to God our loving Father in heaven.🙏🏾 They supposed to help people/ families not separate them. Pure evil.

@@marybrand1977You are not the only one. There is a documentary about the child sex abuse cases by priests and one former priest told that he was part of the church group with millions of dollars in their budget to cover up these cases. The priest left the Catholic Church and is now helping lawyers dealing with child sex abuse cases.

The wickedness and cruelty in thiis world is so deep that if you truly have a conscience, then this is the type of story that makes one cry to see that even the church that is claims to be good is this cruel. I am out of words .

If our world wasn’t so misogynistic, these kids could’ve stayed with their mothers. I am an only parent. I raised my son. On my own. He is in college for engineering. On an extremely large academic scholarship. He taught himself to speak German. He plays the harmonica, the trumpet the guitar, and is now learning the banjo. I gave him everything he wanted and needed in life. Above all I gave him love in a safe place.

This kind of stories always touch me. My father never was able to find out about his birth parents and the reason why he was given up for adoption. One good thing about it was that there was no money changing hands. He lived his whole life with the stigma and the yearning for truth. I am sure he was deeply affected by his origin. He was socially awkward. His birth parents had several of their own biological children after he was adopted. He was the black sheep of the family. He only slapped me once, never laid a finger on my youngest brother, but instigated a couple of very harsh physical punishment upon my other brother who resembles him the most among us three siblings. I guess he took to heart very deeply about his shortcomings and the “shame” of being born out of wedlock, the sense of being second-class growing up in the only family he knew and had. My family is from China, by the way.

We need to separate religion from the institution of religion like the corrupt Vatican. So rotten through and through that Pope Benedict XVI saw no possibility of reforming it and chose to resign. John Paul I refused to participate in Vatican games so he was found dead in the morning after 33 days of papacy.
