Sur le plan spirituel, en écoutant les chansons de Bavon; leurs émotions et sa guitare. A comprendre l'environnement musical surtout au Congo et la présence de son frère ainé, on pouvait déduire que Bavon moura trop jeune, hélas ce fut fait: le Congo est une terre des extras en musique, Bavon en fut une des pièces extra et géniale qu'on trouve pas plus de 3 sur 50 ans !

I am not sure about his being a great vocalist. I have come across some literature indicating that neither Bavon nor his deputy Bholen were key vocalists. That they excelled in playing solo guitar in addition to composing and arranging songs. But I stand to be corrected.

I never met Bavon, but I did a few things with Fan Fan, and came know Tabu Ley early in my career. Played with him a few times. What a voice, what songs, what innovation. I saw Franco often but never even said a word to him. Roads never taken, I did OK. Giants, who reached the hearts of many. Bavon and Hendrix just enchanted me and inspired me as they did to many.

Ravi de réécouter la particulière voix de Bavon marie marie, ainsi que les notes uniques de sa guitare majestueuse. C'est mon père qui m'avait fait découvrir cet artiste en ayant acheté le disque qui avait été édité juste après sa tragique mort, et qui regroupait six de ses grands succès. A force d'écouter le disque j'avais fini par aimer. Depuis je ne me lasse d'écouter. Dommage qu'il soit parti si tôt. J'aurai aimé le rencontrer et discuter quelques instants avec lui. Bavon, frère cadet du grand maître Franco de mi amor. Sachant que ce dernier n'était pas vraiment tendre avec son jeune frère. Continuez à nous mettre en ligne ses chansons. Merci!
