I know this is no where near the same thing but I was a cheerleader in high school and we never had an official field of our own we borrowed a rival schools field for our home games. The year after I graduated they built a stadium for my school and I was so sad I never got to cheer on that field.. I wanted to cheer on it just once. Well, the next year they had all the alumni cheerleaders I mean cheerleader from when the school first opened to the year that recently graduated and when I tell you I got emotional I GOT EMOTIONAL!! Even though half of us never met those ladies paved the way for us and we all had this bond. It was such a proud moment, you put in all this time and energy and pride.. that moment was the moment everything officially come to end and I felt like the chapter could close on such an amazing memory. These ladies have pride and you can see it through their faces they will always have this moment to look back on.
