Awesome video! I'm Harrison, one of your producers. Giving you a second watch here. I was at that FvJ weigh in when I was ten years old back in 2003. Of course it wasn't that hard. I was born and raised in Las Vegas. I was at a comic shop where they just so happened to be giving out free tickets and my mom snagged three. One for her, me, and my eight year old sister. It was awesome and hilarious. I had no clue who Michael Buffer was back then but it didn't matter. Looking back, that's awesome they got him to announce it. How fitting. I just reminisced about the event with my mom the other day. Thanks mom. And thank you for this series, Ian.

I've been waiting for this for a while, and I can finally say that the remake is my number one favorite. It has everything I ever wanted in a Friday film: incredible gore, a great amount of nudity, no MPAA nonsense, a likable cast, Jason being human and is actually smart. It was a dream come true. As for Freddy Vs. Jason, this movie is near and dear to my heart for a lot of reasons, and I consider this to be the second best Elm Street movie.

I do believe seeing this, through a different lense, the reboot deserves a ton of praise it does not get. I was not happy that Kane was passed over the Vs but you certainly bring up some great points for sure. You really have done a fantastic job with this, Halloween and your whole catalog. I enjoy going back and watching the full series of Halloween, this will be no different. Looking forward to what comes next.

This has been one of my favorite retrospectives since I’m a huge Friday the 13th fan. You delivered an excellent new entry. At first, I didn’t like neither of these movies but I didn’t hate them neither. After a few rewatches over the years as I got older, I grew fond of them especially Freddy vs Jason. Sucks that we never got a proper movie sequel and probably never will unless both properties end up under the same umbrella and gets a reboot. Speaking of reboots, the Friday the 13th reboot is very high on my favorite F13 list but I still have a fond nostalgia for F13 2,4,5, and 6 still being my favorite F13 movie of all time. Again, sucks that we never got a new F13 franchise off the ground from the reboot. Here’s hoping Jason gets a great rejuvenation sooner rather than later like Micheal Myers from Blumhouse. 🍻

FvJ was, and still is, top notch. As you allude to, the acting from the supporting cast isn't anything to write home about but seeing these two horror icons squaring off was, and is, awesome. Legit couldn't wait for this one to come out. Honestly love both of these movies. I watched Freddy v Jason more times than I can remember. The fight between the 2 remind me of a Taker vs HBK fight. Big, strong, coming at you fighter vs a smart athletic agile fighter. This has always popped into my head. In the reboot there is a part down in the tunnels where Jason runs, that mixed with the background music was always beyond terrifying to me. And I agree. Hated seeing Jenna die. Didn't see that coming what so ever. Never saw the Killers cut. Putting that on the must watch list.

This movie still stands up very well. For a crossover that was in development hell for 15 years, it had no business being nearly as good as it was. I would say the thing that impresses me the most is the writers use of Hypnocil in the movie, a drug mentioned way back in Elm St. 3!

616Entertainment, if you ever get the chance, you should check out the audio tapes of Pamela Foorhees and Tommy Jarvis from the Friday 13th game because their really good. Tommy's you definitely want to listen to because his tapes fill in some gaps between Parts 4 & 5, Parts 5 & 6, and the aftermath that leads up to Freddy vs. Jason (which explains how Freddy knew about Jason).

Freddy vs..Jason is simply the best VS movie (so far at least). Take that Alien v Predator, Aliens v Predator: Requiem, and Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice! The story is solid. The characters, be it main characters or supporting characters, weren't particularly memorable nor charismatic in any way, but they weren't really the focus of the movie either. Monica Keena as the main heroine Lori Campbell can’t hold a candle to Nancy from A Nightmare on Elm Street (1984) and Dream Warriors or Alice from The Dream Master and The Dream Child, but she still did a solid job. The Kills and Gore are just awesome in Freddy vs. Jason. The effects, be at Practical and CGI, looked good here and there at times and at other times not. As an A Nightmare on Elm Street Fan, I loved Robert Englund as Freddy Krueger in this film, which was also the last film with him as this Horror Icon. He was scary and funny at the same time as in A Nightmare on Elm Street Part 3: Dream Warriors (1987). As a Friday the 13th Fan, I had had no problems with Ken Kirzinger as Jason Voorhees. Yes, he wasn't as good as Kane Hodder from the previous four Friday the 13 Movies (who I personally find a bit overrated), but he still did a pretty good job as this Zombie-Version of Jason. He reminded me a lot of the Frankenstein Monster with his performance

Really loved the reboot and it sucks they couldn't continue on with it from there. As much as I love zombie Jason, it's nice to have a more human Jason that we know can be hurt and can ultimately be killed if our survivors fight hard enough. Hell, I wouldn't mind if the next Friday film starts where this one ended and they just act like it hasn't been 15 years between movies, but I don't see them doing that. They'll likely start all over, again. If I were able to pitch the direction of the franchise to Paramount Pictures, I'd go back to basics. Ultra cheap, under $5 million per film, real effects, everything in camera, and start the new series with a human Jason. Deformed as hell, but human. Figure out a good back story about his mother, his time at the camp as a kid and how he's alive, and then turn him into zombie Jason after the 2nd or 3rd film. Making those movies for dirt cheap means even if they only make $80-$100 million in theaters, it's all profit. The home digital release will make the production budget back so every penny made in theaters is profit. I'd even aim to release a new one every other year. Can't really do every year like they did in the 80's because it hurts the quality of the films after a while, but get close to that by doing every other year. Make em cheap, make em fast, and make em bloody.
@616Entertainment2 ай бұрын

Freddy vs Jason is all time. There are people that say that movie sucks and I don't agree at all.

A person born the year this film came out can now legally drink... That disturbs me more than any horror film could ever could. Lol.

Great video, Jason is literally my favorite slasher I hate that he’s caught up in so much legal nonsense. I was jealous seeing Micheal get all these movies a few years ago😂😂 I love Halloween but I 🔪 WANT 🔪 JASON🔪 thank you for this series.
