You got me through TWO brain tumor surgeries this year! I won't know until March if all the tumor is go e and not growing back. But your amazing videography, enthusiasm, humor and just plain good old guy attitude has made this so much more endurable. Not only that, but your fans encouragement to me made my recoveries better. Shout out to you and your fans...praise God.

One of the rarest fish in the country and Nick just lands a dozen of them. Hope Nick played the lottery on his way home. Great job Nick 🤘😎
@RippieFarmer17 күн бұрын
It's rare because it only exists in 3 or 4 rivers in the country. They came from the McCloud River in northern California by Mount Shasta.
@jonathanwade706814 күн бұрын
@@RippieFarmerDo you think he is at Crane Creek or Busick. I’ve caught McClouds in both. I heard they were being transported by traincar from Cali to NYC for their fancy restaurants but some were let go along the way.
@RippieFarmer14 күн бұрын
@jonathanwade7068 couldn't really say, I'm not familiar with Missouris rivers. The McCloud river is just about 4 hours north from me though, and the Redband Trout is one of my favorite native species to target.
@RippieFarmer14 күн бұрын
@jonathanwade7068 the story for how they got where they are isn't that wierd. It was an agreement between Missouri and the McCloud hatchery to see if they could be introduced and survive as a game fish. Back in the days before states got picky about introducing new species. They did get packed in crates and sent over by train from California, but they're in those rivers on purpose.

Happy New Year to you and your family Nick. Thanks for all the great entertainment in 2024, and I'm looking forward to what 2025 will bring. But please be careful out there. I've torn myself up pretty good fishing (beaver pond stumps will put you in the hospital with many stitches) but the most dangerous part is getting there. Driving is the riskiest part. So take your time, let the a-holes be a-holes, and get there and back safely. Deal? Deal. Thanks buddy.

When fishing for trout try casting 90° across current and swinging the lure through the hole, you will get more strikes and better hookups than casting upstream

If you dont mind me saying, you could maybe try adjusting your drag after setting the hook, with that big guy that popped off, if youd clicked the drag down like 3-4 clicks right after setting the hook and feeling how big he was, he might've had a bit more trouble spitting the hook. Overall great vid though, love small creak fishing, small fish are just as fun as big ones in my opinion but its especially rewarding if there are hidden monsters, great catches
