Cool compilation, Ioana! I especially love the Introspective category. The more you write about your feelings, the more you find out about what kind of self-care suits you. I think compiling these things into bullet journal spreads is the first step to solidifying the important matters which need to be addressed to move forward.
@ioanahayman4 жыл бұрын
Yes yes yes! Journaling has honestly gotten me through the most difficult times, and writing lists of reminders from those moments is what has helped me improve my coping and self-care strategies over time, too! It’s a gradual journey and like you said - identifying and reflecting is the first step!

I love using these ideas in my Agenda 52 spreads. I hate drawing out the basic lines, but love adding embellishments and drawing out my own trackers. These are great ideas to add to any pre-made planner spreads.

Great way to display the washi tape. The 'nice things to draw part', 'things I'd like to learn', 'this week in learning', 'things I'd like to do someday' ... notes from books you've read, lecture ... bucket and life lists ... milestones ... to name a few, wow ... I kept thinking I was done and you have another great idea. :-) Wonderful sharing ... many thanks. 🌷

I find it so difficult to find spreads that will actually be useful to me. I did bullet journalling a few years ago and would make spreads for practically everything because it looked fun to track and record everything and make lists but I never ever referred back to them. The only thing that would be useful to me is a weekly spread and I basically do that in notion. All my to-dos are in there. I really want to bullet journal but I don't know what I would actually use it for. Most spreads are there for the aesthetic and to be creative and I don't want to use it for that. I want to make my pages look pretty but I also need them to be something I will go back to daily.

I recommend ditching all of the "rules" and use it in the most functional way possible. I work way too many hours to spend time being fancy with it (though I have the artistic training to). I set up monthly and weekly pages as they come up. I will create seasonal meal plan lists and keep ongoing lists for wants needs, house and work goals. I have fun with the aesthetic pieces when I have time or if I am placed on hold. I have a love hate relationship with traditional planners - love the idea of getting organized with them but hate that they are not fully functional for me. Using a blank journal has fully remedied that and it is the only "planning tool" that I can reliably use.

I loved this video, it was very concise, neat, and organized. Just what I needed !!! Quick question: will you be making an updated note taking system/method video anytime soon?
@ioanahayman4 жыл бұрын
That was the goal! ;-) And 100% yes - this August my focus will be on school so I’ll make sure to create a note-taking video! Are you in high school or university/college? I’m wondering if my existing videos were too general and maybe I’ll create ones focused on style of learning (lectures vs textbook, math vs English, highschool vs uni, etc)!
@monique37664 жыл бұрын
Mistral Spirit I’m going into university and I quickly realized my current note taking method would be ineffective for college. AP classes and college courses are a lot different. I have watched your existing videos and they’ve helped a lot !! I’m just super worried about my performance considering the aspect of online classes. Keep of the great work as usual !!!
@ioanahayman4 жыл бұрын
Yess I remember feeling the exact same way! It definitely took a while to get into the groove of things, though that may be different now that everything is online. I will make that video for next Thursday!!

Have you considered making a spread to track work performance? I’m at a job where we have to track our performance all year long. I just know this can be done in a bullet journal but I have yet to find it. 😞

The goal was to breeze through them but if you found it fast try checking out the list of ideas on my blog or in the description! I wrote them all out, with numbers and a time stamp so you can pause the video, click on the time stamp and see the image of that spread. Hope that helps!
