Great stuff mate , I won a blowgun about 40 years ago in a competition in the American GUNS AND AMMO magazine, it turned up in the post much to my surprise about 3 months later. I doubt if it would get through customs now , there actually illegal in the UK 😂😂😂

I chrono my 5ft blowgun at 149fps with the 82grain broadheads from Tim wells and 155fps with the cold steel razor tip broadhead, those weigh 70gr but post your results here

Hey on the broad head darts if you loosen up the cone when you shoot the cone will pop off and the dart will pass through the melon but put a back stop up to catch your dart I blow gun hunt and fish all the time

Excellent examination for effect of those darts . If you shoot heavier darts. you will easily make water melon like this blow up to pieces. I'm practicing those lungs powered air gun for years . no matter how light dart are.how long you get a tube. you will really not likely to get faster than 350 fps. if dart aren't wight more than about 7gram that 5ft bores are absolutely enough. but the goal for me is give up speed. use some 7or8 ft bore to send 25+gram steal bar like things to 200fps for a kind of serious distraction.

@@k.o.skeeponshooting235 really light dart like 3 grams blow to 300 fps are really tricky. need some constrict ring to make dart just barely came through. with maybe alot practice. at least can really close to 300 . but too light darts get much more inconsistencies . also less wight lead to air resistance effects whole lot.

Just got mine today! The .625 And ordered a rail mount and mounted a red dot on it, got it zeroed in quickly after knowing the force of blowing! Zeroed at 10 ft sp far...just practicing now before hunting small game

@@k.o.skeeponshooting235 correction, meant I did place a red laser on it lol, and I also, took some of the extra cones and drill a small hole all the way through them, and place long screw, shorts screw, and medium screws making them different lengths as needed. Accuracy still on point brother!!! You can use any short object as long as it fits in the cones, as mentioned I preferably using nails, and soon going to try medium sized bits 😆...this will be a dangerous small gamer soon! Also, was watching on KZbin how to place a fishing reel on it and connect it to the regular darts with broad heads, for fishing. But so far loving it, and practicing aim with sights and without, just case! 😊

@@lamardaniels6625 that Is an excellent modification brother. I been looking into blowgun fishing myself. Blowguns are highly addictive, once you start shooting them, you want to keep going. Do you just blow or use your tongue pressed against the opening as a release valve?

@@k.o.skeeponshooting235 honestly for full force, I inhale deeply, then I use both my lips closed tightly together prior to relasing air ...one big exhale (as if I am trying to sound out the letter P with authority!) I know it may sound silly but I noticed fpr me, using any darts, the projectory was more straighter and with force!... I actually used just the tooth picks short and longe versions, clip one end and place them into the cones, and with the tactic I just mentioned works great, and the short nail version in cones is a killer with the power behind it!...( with just a few day of practicing and with different items, I took a cardboard box, and place a real sized fluffy rabbit 🐇 (stuffed of course lol) and practiced different distances and with different darts....to prep for hunting rabbits soon! This works too for when gametime come, I'd know how and what to use on a real rabbit!🙂
