Also, factory service manual says if you do remove subframe you should have the front end aligned afterwards. This kit allows you to install the mounts without having to remove the subframe unlike the factory prescribed method or the VW/ Audi kit. This video SHOULD show that the dog bone mount / thrust arm bolts and the sway bar mounting bolts are torque to yield bolts (TTY / stretch bolts) and MUST be replaced with new bolts. Video and the instructions should also state the torque specifications plus the 90 degree final tightening turn on those new bolts.

Hi I have a Vw Passat 1.9tdi 2007, the info on the tool states up to 2005 but i have the aluminium subframe that looks identical to this, so will it work on my car? Thanks

We've consulted with our Technical team, and they have said it will work on the aluminium subframe.

Hi Ricardo. Our technical team have confirmed this tool only fits the earlier, cast aluminium, front subframes. It will not do the later pressed steel versions, so unfortunately will not fit your vehicle.
