When I was 15 I was forced to see a "therapist". After saying I had dreams of being a bodybuilder and Mr. Olympia they diagnosed me with "grandiosity disorder" and forced me to take lithium pills and I was NOT allowed to excercise. I even had people "check in" on me to make sure i wasnt excercising in my room. I'm not kidding. This stuff is happening to young men. The Childrens Farm Home in Corvallis, OR did this to me. This was over 20 years ago so if you think this is a new thing YOU ARE WRONG

The psychiatric profession is a fraud. I was terribly depressed as a young man and they just wanted to feed me drugs. If your parents are a large part of the problem, the 'doctor` has a huge conflict of interest because the parent has to approve treatment. There is no way they could even consider parents as contributing to my problems.

@@mycroft16 a source? Please research the Childrens Farm Home. They have a dark history. Theyre still in business. This is precisely what happened to me. There are many horror stories in facilities that deal with minors doing weird or dark things. Ive often thought of trying to get my medical records from them. My therapist was a sicko too. This isnt something that journalists look into or anything. They destroy these kids and leave many homeless by the time theyre released. The only reason i went is because i had nowhere to go and the state put me their with my fathers consent. He didnt want to take care of me (new wifr convinced him to kick me out at 14..i have lots of horror storoes from being in the system. Besides my medical records, which id need to request, all i have is my experience to share with you. This is very real unfortunately. When you drive past many of these facilities that deal with unwanted kids there are many dark things going on and its very sad.

I was raised by a single mother, I love her so much and her death broke something in me but 13 years ago when I was 18 she passed suddenly. When I told my then girl best friend (I allowed myself to be a weak simp then) but when I told her her response was telling me how sad she was because her crush didn't like her back. I pushed my emotions to the side and comforted her like an idiot. Remembering how pathetic I was makes me hate myself. I was soft, too nice, weak and too comfortable allowing women to walk over my feelings. I'm 31 now. Lesson learned the hard way.

Being emotionally expressive is not the same thing as being emotionally intelligent. Women are immediately emotional, their reaction goes out and hits those around them without thought being involved. Later they talk about it....ultimately to evade/avoid responsibility for what they caused.

I was shocked to learn that women had emotions about the emotions that they were having. Looking into this it appears that women can have up to three layers of emotion, but probably only one layer of analysis. Men on the other hand, can handle up to three layers of analysis, but only have one layer of emotion. So men will approach a challenge with their strong trait, analysis. And a woman will approach a challenge with their strong trait, emotion. A man will try to reason with you with facts. A women will try to motivate/manipulate you with your or their emotions.

Also, about hobbies: Recently Penguinz0 talked about a guy with a Yu-Gi-Oh channel. He got a divorce because his wife HATED his hobby. Hated it SO MUCH that she cried over it. She wanted him to give it all up, go back to school, get a "normal job". Other people were telling him "hey, you're choosing kids' cards over your wife? Do what you gotta do." Thing is, his channel was successful! He made enough to survive and pay the bills. He loved doing what he did, and earned money through it. But no, she nagged him until he caved, and sold all his cards, his equipment, even his youtube channel. I don't know whether he initiated the divorce, or she did, but DAMN, why was she with him in the first place if she hated what he loved? She changed him into what SHE thought acceptable, and made HIM miserable doing so.

There is also the usual effect of awareness leading to more testing leading to more cases. It isn't an increase in rate, just discovery of what the true underlying rate already was. Most people misinterpret that false signal though. Happened with autism diagnoses as well as awareness and definition changed with understanding.
