Hey Dan, put your camera on a actuator you can buy them and it will extend for you and you can put your camera on that and then you get to see your loads. OK from the back a little bit higher I hope you understand what I’m trying to tell you, and you can buy it with a key fob and you can remote have a remote control camera going up and down on the actuator. Keep doing a good job.

I unloaded in Vero Beach Florida Monday morning. The freight rates I was offered for 2 days was depressing. Finally got a great paying load on Wednesday morning, 4 picks and 3 drops going right to my house ! 👍

You are correct Dan. I have installed a similar "puck" type item in roadways around Springfield MO. used in the Advanced Traffic Monitoring System. They gather various info to help calculate traffic flow and other related information.

When I trucked it always slowed down a little in January, February. Of course groceries will keep moving, but even that slows down a little. Looks like fuel is creeping back up while rates go down. Something really out of whack in this economy.

I feel for you having to take a big rig into Los Alamos. I missed the turn off ended up dragging my 26 foot travel trailer through that tunnel, not a fun experience, first time I had ever pulled anything that long. Of course this was pre GPS and me trying to read 3x5 map cards I had made out

African bridge W I-10 exit 27 to Alt 90. Then take a left on to the ramp to I-165. Take ramp 1B to N I 65. Hazmat route. Or back south I- 10. If heading E I -10 the hazmat route is different but can reverse directions. Void the tunnel.

Believe Mercer has internal long range freight projections that are NOT shared w/ the drivers. If that data matches some of the transportation media #'s, the forecast going forward is a bumpy road.

Hello from England, I have recently been following your routes on Google maps. I dont know weight or height restrictions etc, but I get really puzzled by the routes you choose sometimes. perhaps if you get time in one of your videos you could explain the choices a bit Thanks, and safe journeys.

Usually it's the shortest route, a lit of truckers will use Google maps with their trucking mapping system because google maps shows current traffic loads or blockages.

I hear you about freight. I am afraid to leave the Michigan,Indiana, Ohio, Illinois,Kentucky and maybe Wisconsin areas. Possibly western Pa. You get too far from those areas and it becomes almost impossible to get back, and anything that pops up pays less and less. I have seen loads paying as low as 1.19 per mile to get back to Indiana. Not sure how anyone can make a profit with too many of those loads.

Yeah bud it’s no good. I’m in the process of bouncing out of California to Texas. Zero in cali. I tell people going to California is like playing the scratch off lottery. You don’t expect to hit the jackpot but you hope you can win something. Sometimes you just loose.. if you head to cali make it pays to play the game. My load out did so I’ll eat $600 in fuel and I got a load out of Waco. It’ll all work out in the end.

Dan with the economy that will continue to fall apart probably for a long time. Why not look into doing a close to home grocery retailer. Kroger for the Smiths stores had dedicated routes right down there in Arizona out of their central warehouse. I think they were supposed to be expanding their warehouse. Then your never more than a 250 out and right back, Vegas was their north end. either empty or dunnage skids and cardboard back. At least the fight, stress and always being away from home world be over. Food always fairs the best in these types of economic down turns for the trucker. Has in the past.
