That’s one to stay away from in the future Dan cardboard boxes, shrink wrap, no tarp not good. I’m thinking about buying another truck after the new year. Sold my W9 in 2022, and went company driver running regional, it sure isn’t the same as the life of an owner-operator. I talked to Ron at Mercer and I'm thinking about it, Or I may go back to Universal am can it’s familiar. Safe travels Dan. Happy New Year to you and the family.

Thanks for your cooking lesson. Brother, Father Time always wins, over all of us! Not to mention the health effects, but cooking these things yourself, helps a ton from a cost perspective. We live near a T/A, with a Burger King. Wife and I stopped for lunch…it was $30!! Insane!! Stay safe!

Hey u found out why I sold my stepdeck 2 years ago. There are two types of stepdeck freight. The freight that is tall and therefore needs a stepdeck. Than there is the freight that is stacked high enough to need a step.

So what do you do when you feel unsafe? Do you tell your broker or dispatch you know I'm not gonna take it today? Every time I do that the broker wants to take 100 or $200 off of the confirmation because I don't want to drive on the snow and ice. How do you fix that? And I hear from company drivers that if they say no, They either get terminated or they get freight taken away from them so they sit. How do you win?

Mercer’s policy is if to don’t feel safe driving in bad weather you don’t have to. There is no penalty. They would rather the load be late than you involved in an accident. Thanks for Watching

If you have smoke tarp, you can cover the front. It helps keep the boxes up front from getting soaked.

I worked in trucking for 32 years ( dock and yard ) going home one day I noticed several chunks of styrofoam along a fence line near 290 and Rt 171 in Maywood Il. I caught up to the flat bed that had skids of styrofoam wall board held down with ratchet straps... The first set of pallets were missing layers off the tops of the front two pallet...he hadn't gotten to the expressway yet......
