Hey Dan, isn't your personal trailer a flatbed, and this one Dorsey letting you use is stepdeck. If you went out and bought a new one tomorrow, would it be flatbed or stepdeck?

Their are other people who own small trucking companies that are say that thinks will get better sense the GOLDEN BOY FREAK got back into office . Sense he has gotten back into office i have seen three more trucking companies and brokage compaines close up to bankrupt and fuel prices jump up by 40 cents per gallon . So who is not telling the truth about this stuff . They are saying maybe the middle of 2026 they might see something happening .

I’m so glad I sold my 98 Pete and step-deck back in 22’ just as fuel was skyrocketing and rates were dropping. I had my own authority and was getting regular rates of 3.50 to 4.50 a mile. I started seeing loads falling into the 2 dollar range and dumped everything. Fuel was 5 bucks a gallon at that time. It was costing me a dollar a mile in fuel alone. The math just doesn’t add up. You should look at galvanized steel loading out of Kosciusko Mississippi, northern part of the state, going up north to build solar farms. It used to pay good and would get you up to where the loads paid good. I used to haul out of there a lot as I live in central Mississippi. Would go up north and find a load back, take a week off and do it again. Ahh the good old days lol.

Those loads out of Mississippi are paying about 2.50 a mile, I'm on one for Tues going to pa, not the greatest rate anymore, but gets me in a decent reload area

I started hauling tractors in 1979. Working for Warren transport Waterloo Iowa. Never used straps on tractors. Always cross chained each tractor. Four chains. Cant believe Dan of all people.Good thing you didn’t get pulled in scale. And far as I know. No over hang on front or back on 53 foot trailer. Take care Dan.
