The Crown v Tam O Shanter

Short play written by Lesley Deschner and first performed by the Burns Batchelors Performers in Alloway Church Hall on 27th October 2023. Introduced by John Hannah from the Ayrshire Burns Club.
It tells the tail of Tam been taken to task for riding his horse through Alloway whilst under the influence of alcohol, to the reckless endangerment of the people of Alloway and in doing so, causing great harm to his horse Meg. Tam has to defend himself to avoid a custodial sentence.
