Aaaand I just noticed that the green/blue wires on the output terminal block are reversed. So it’s wired at 16 ohms.

Please don’t script… the live conversational vibe is (in my humble) one reason I enjoy listening. Keepin’ it real in a digi world. Dat be cool.

Whoa! If you recreate that Vibe/Trem sound in a pedal, you’ll be rich. The synth kids would go crazy over that.

Thank you for referring me back to the first video--Really cool, man. Similar setup to the one I spoke of in my other comment. They just put it in the cabinet panel on the back on the one I saw. I'm sure he would let me play it if I asked but damn I don't know if I would even know what to do lol. Thanks dude, great video series

Excellent diagnosis. It’s not working properly but, I suspect it will be soon.

I have met many guitar players who don’t really understand impedance settings at all, or that they really should match. Then there are those that want everything 16ohms so it “uses all the windings” on the output transformer. I just make sure things match.

Is using all the windings a thing? I watched a 65 amps video with Dan Boul where he talked about this.

It’s not a thing given good transformers.

@@handsomelikeadog I bought a Marshall JCM800 DSL50 from a guy who had put new speakers and rewired the 1936 cab it came with so it would "use 16 ohms and all the windings", and I've heard a few other people talk about it, but with no real information about it. It has to do with the design of the secondary in the output transformer, which is well above my understanding. As said by PsionicAudio below, it shouldn't be a thing if you have good transformers, but that won't convince some people.

I need to change a 500k volume pot on my amp. What brand do you recommend and should it be an Audio Taper? Where do you get your from? Thanks in advance! I love your videos!😊

First thing I do… raise the heaters to 60v I believe it is off that cathode… get ground washers for the high inputs then run the preamp grounds to the inputs… one ground for the power section… I did that on my 64 not even white noise went through the speaker.

Man! Give yourself a break! You’re diagnosing and thinking about what you’re seeing, what the root cause may be, what the proper fix is, what parts you may need to repair, and oh, and making a video (camera angle-audio), and speaking about what your doing the best you can. So, lighten up. You’re doing fine. Words are sometimes elusive.
