How's the trans holding up and what has been done to it?

I have a 2017 3500 SRW Limited 4x4 Cummins with Aisin, has 92k miles mostly highway in California. I average 21 mpg on highway with 3.42 gears. I ordered and bought it new to tow 16k pound 5th wheel which it pulls easily, but used mostly as a daily driver. The truck performs flawlessly, but I am always interested in something like a special tune for even more power and torque. Only changes I have made are Bilstein shocks all around and lowered tire pressure to ease ride. Does anyone in southern California offer emissions maintaining tunes like you describe?

Do u know y the "2010" dodge 3500 mega cab gets the worst mpg of all the 3500? That's according to the research I've done. 11 mpg n town about 15mpg highway. I have no DELETS or tuner. Any suggestions to improve mpg?

A tuner is a good place to start.

Your gearing is the biggest factor 4:10 gears you'll get only 15 mpg average 3:73 -18 mpg 3:42 -21 mpg

I just bought a new one and I want to delete my DEF asap they say it freezes at -15c we frequently hit days of -55c with the wind chill during the winter I feel like it will just be too much head ache ?

Mario man the truck doesn’t often Regen at those low temps. Also, the DEF is heated and won’t begin dosing in a passive regen until it’s warm.

I got a 01 Gen 2....I just cut the Muffler off the 4" pipe I had on it and installed a Edge Comp.....It was already loud....Now it hauls Ass and is Loud...

Warranty depends on what happened, and the delership. My truck came with a faulty converter, that made a scrubbing sound when locked. I waited til after I deleted and tuned, to have this done. Thought I screwed myself. I told them I modified and tuned the truck, and they said if it's and issue they'll let me know. Replaced my converter no questions asked.

I love the smell of diesel and the sound of a old 24 valve 2nd gen . New diesels are to quiet.

Push broom I believe those early year 6.7 do not have def in exchange they use extra fuel to get the exhaust hot enough to burn up the soot in the dpf filter.

All newer diesels use extra fuel; not DEF, to keep the DPF filter clean...

How do you keep the warranty with the truck being tuned even though everything is still there? Won't they be able to tell that out has been tuned?

Emission controls is what makes these trucks unreliable. Should always delete emission. You can get a spare ecm to swap in for warranty work takes 5mins fixes all of what he juat said... The exhaust takes 30mins to swap back on. Don't deal with the bs.
