It seems I missed some of the history here that I didn't know about with BMP16 originally creating a challenge about Pokedex completion before Brock! This was sooooooo much fun to make (and I'm sorry if you randomly clicked on this video expecting something with purely gameplay lol). Also fair warning that some of the footage in this video may be a bit shaky so tread lightly if you get motion sickness very easily. I'm probably gonna do this again in another game someday, but for now, I'm gonna go back to focusing on some shiny hunting and training some Pokemon to - lv. 100, the pinnacle of power for a pokemon, very few pokemon ever reach this level. this is a-

I don't think people truly realise how great Absol is as an editor. For example, the shot at 53:00 . How does he seamlessly edit a shot that transitions Cal Zone to himself so cleanly. Like they are obviously two different people so I guess I just need to get better at Premiere to understand.

I don't play a lot of Pokemon or keep up with it at all, but I do enjoy your fun, silly, and informative blog videos like this. Very nice video :) I am also happy you pointed out the mechanic about encountering the same shiny Pokemon twice - I have a distinct memory of loading up Emerald and being somewhere in the water by the Elite Four. I surfed straight to the right and found a shiny Tentacool. For some reason, I turned off my game without saving not long after that and freaked out. Turned it back on, surfed straight to the right again and encountered the shiny Tentacool once more. All these years later, I'm not sure if I just imagined that happening or if it really did happen. Now I am fairly certain it did :)

I'm glad you're not doing a shint-only or lv100 gauntlet or no exp share or rare candies. I feel like the "challenges" for pokemon have gotten ridiculous to the point of not being fun anymore. Like with the Professor Oak's Challenge, it takes the game back to its roots of "Catching 'em All" and removing the use of exp share or rare candies just makes it take longer and doesn't affect the difficulty. Granted, I'm doing this challenge in the gen 4 games with shiny only, but that's ONLY because of the Cute Charm glitch. Anyway, great video as always. You're one of my favorite pokemon content creators because of how much genuine passion you have for the series.

56:32 Yes! Thank you for including a Pockey Card Jockey song in this video. I absolutely love that game (and it makes sense that you'd use it here because it's another Game Freak game). Okay, enough fanboying from me. I read your pinned comment and I just want to say that this type of video (gameplay + vlog) is a lot more enjoyable to watch than just a standard gameplay video. I mean, I mostly just listen to your videos while I do something else, but I think I can still say that breaking up the gameplay with brief clips of things you did in the meantime is really cool. Like, it makes your videos feel more personal which I think is a big plus considering other gameplay/let's-play channels are more "by the book" and aren't very much different than any other gaming channel. I'm not even that big of a Pokemon fan, but your style of content is what keeps me coming back, so I hope you will continue to make these videos for as long as you find them enjoyable to make. :-)
