Are those the stock silicone tips in the nio? How does it fit? 10:15

Hi Precog! I would love to hear your thoughts on the Sennheiser IE 900. It's considered one of the best at its price, or even compared to 3000 USD IEMs for bassheads.

Hey, here's a review I did on it: www.headphones.com/community/reviews-learning-and-news/sennheiser-ie900-review

Not audio related, I know, but nice knife. The CF and S90V variant was the best in my opinion😅

Precogvision, thanks for your videos. I’m new to IEM and recently got Tia Trio . Absolutely loving it. Though very few tracks have piercing treble. I am thinking about getting U12T or Mest MK2 as a complementary pair. Would appreciate your thoughts which one would be good company to my Trio

Hey, I’m sorry, but I haven’t heard the MEST MK2 yet. I think it falls along the lines of a more bassy MEST. If you want another unique flavor like the Trio, then that might be the way to go. The 12t would be the safer route if you’re looking for an IEM that’ll handle everything. Hope this helps :)

Great review! Now with the u6t came out, which do you think is the better entry iem of 64 audio? Looking for an iem that can keep me company in long term, usually listen to Jpop so the vocal and bass are what I value the most. Do you think that the nio is worth the $400 upgrade, or the u6t is good enough?

Nio if you want the DD, U6t if you want something a little brighter and are okay with BA bass :)

I’ve been looking at these, but have a non-audio related question about them. Is the abalone faceplate that gel-feeling, raised sticker-ish material? I have some things with that material on them and about 5 years later it’s not smooth anymore and is a sticky mess that doesn’t age well. If I’m buying something in this price range, I would expect the whole product to hold up well for well over 10 years.

I’m not sure, but realistically, I would not expect IEMs to last for well over 10 years, especially because you’d most probably be using them in a portable capacity. You’d be better off looking at headphones for that type of longevity.

Good job ! What replacement cable do you recommend ? Also being that U12t is going for about the same price now, would you take it over this ? I listen to mostly jazz, acoustic, rock, think U12 could be my end game ( for now ) ? Thanks, keep up the good work !

Thanks! I don't think you have to spend a lot of money to get a good cable, I just use whatever I have on hand, haha. Subjectively I prefer the Nio, but the U12t is the "better" IEM if we're going by technicalities and which has the safer tonality. I think it more depends on what you're looking for. U12t is a bit more laidback, resolving, and slick.
