just put a piece of paper between the clip and body then it just slides smoothly as you rotate it. No scratching.

If you already own a ER4XR (yes I understand that this is a review of ER2SR), don't even think about getting rid of it. To get the most out of them, there's couple of tricks you can do. 1. Do filter rolling (ear wax filter) to different colors to see which ones suit you. 2. Use a low powered IEM amp/dac. I use Audioquest Drangonfly Cobalt. 3. Side load FLAC files direct or indirect if you use iPhone. I used VLC for iPhone and use iTunes to side load the high res FLAC files. 4. I use Comply foam tips specifically made for the ER series. I squish them while rolling them to make it as thin as possible like rolling a cigarette. Then I gently insert them into my ear canal but I don't push it all the way in. As soon as I can feel like they can't go in any further, I leave a few mm gap and let them expand in my ear canal. This is very important if you want most comfort. As long as they are mostly perpendicular to the ear drum, you will get very good result of capturing all the sound from the drivers. Finally, if you have a DAP (I use Astell Kern AK120II) that has a 2.5mm balanced input, Etymotic has a balanced IEM cable. Use of this cable is game changer in my opinion. A whole another level of audio fidelity. I find that this IEM is even bests my Campfire Mammoth which is lacking on the mid and high end as I find them to be very subdued. However, I do give Campfire Mammoth the two thumbs up for comfort, although my Ety ER4XR is very close 2nd. I HIGHLY recommend the the ER-series if your budget is around $200-$500.

Well, that's just, you're opinion, man LOL. Haha wow ok how'd I miss this 4 years ago. At least you put Sigma and Cool Fall on top so you get points for that. Wish you would have mentioned Mac's and Mr. Bulk since you have MBI up there, but this vid did remind me of a few forgotten makers so that was nice.

I just came across this, and I tested myself in a similar way years ago, too. I could only tell differences in certain songs, but not in all music. It was very specific and familiar passages of certain music. It certainly wasn't night and day, which is why i have no issue with using 320bit mp3 music files, in addition to Flac and WAV. (or straight off a CD, for that matter). For me, I'd prefer to have lossless wherever possible, but the differences are so negligible that it doesn't truly matter.

Hallo Precog. I can see you are not using this channel much this year...but maybe you get this message I'm thinking about getting 1 or 2 iems around $1000. I still think about Helios and U4s, would you have some recommendation in the end of 2024❓Thank you 👍

You find certain sets pleasing and not pleasing not because of the way they're squig line looks but because of your hair cells in your ear for someone like myself who is older I have had years of heavy metal concerts military explosions you name it which have damaged those hairs so I don't pick up sounds the way you would you don't pick up sounds the way I do so each set is going to be unique to everyone I think. I think that's why testing something out is so important but you know not everyone has the ability to do that My opinion on that is find a company like Penon Hifi go that has a fairly robust exchange program so that if you do get you a set of SA6s and you go wow these really don't do what I think you can return them get something different. Good work thanks for everything you'll do

-Well this video didn't age well. Goruck is still here and so is Scars. I have more than a few GR1s and while they cost a lot, they last. I bought both my girls GR1s in High School, they later graduated college with them and still have them. I've had my first one, an og GR1 since 2009. -After numerous deployments and traveled all over the world, I still have it today. Only issue I had was a gusset blew out and Scars addressed the issue, still have it and use it. -I have Recycled Firefighter, Mystery Ranch, TAD, Evergoods, Brown Buffalo.....some don't even compare and none has such a great warranty. I honestly love the simplicity of the bag, I love it has no outside pockets and you could get a Heritage that's slick in canvas. It's expensive but this is the original and very few can compare with this track record. Want a cheap bag, go make one and of this quality and charge less....see how that works out.

I’m surprised after hearing about how you felt some were nothing special or boring that you’d put okluma and Frelix up over Hanko. The okluma is a dialed down and plain Hanko without the absurd build quality and finish that Hanko does. Just unscrewing the head on a Trident and that feeling of snot on glass smoothness indicates the quality workmanship in his lights that almost nobody else has achieved. There were a few to easily disagree with, but Hanko so low stuck out the worst to me.

my older SF saint cannot be turned off using the knob, it emmits very low lumen light which it should not be producing while using the knob, kinda like a moonlight mode (like 1 0r 2 lumens), normally when i use it its lowest would be 5 lumens approx. I think that is one of the reason why they added a newer switch. i filed a return at the time but shipping it from overseas i am better of buying a new one. lol. i also found a similar case online at the time so maybe mine is not an isolated case.

Firstly, thanks for the vid brother. I love your vids. I am currently working on finalizing my own proprietary designs for my IEMs for my future acoustics company. I have not worked on adding large amounts of BAs yet however, thinking about the physics, I believe I understand why we the gains from adding more drivers tapers out as we continue to add more. We are trying to force more drivers to use the same channel diameter as single BAs. It is like water in a pipe. At some point, I do not care how strong the pump is, there is a limit to how much fluid you can force to a particular diameter. I believe that we need to focus on developing new technologies for modeling and testing what is really happening along the path of the BAs to our ears. Similar to our abilities to do this with transmission line speakers. Let me know what you think. God bless.
