Actually in this scenario ,it's not as good as you think. These warm water/spiny tails wholesale for about $3.00 each. People mix up Maine Lobsters ,with the other varietals . The Wynn charges $125. per person for their buffet with Maine Lobster..Same goes for basic Atlantic salmon.While it's all good ,it's not the Seafood you think it is

I stood in line at 11am to purchase the lobster meal tickets. After purchasing the meal tickets, you come back and stand in line again at 2pm to enter. I believe they only allow 200 people to purchase the meal tickets, so get there early.

I will need to try this lobster AYCE buffet in Vegas the next time I visit. I went to the one in Redondo Beach last year after watching your videos, and had a good experience. However, after a few months, the restaurant stopped offering AYCE lobster because they said they were losing money on it. At least with Vegas, the casinos subsidize the cost of the buffets with all the gambling revenue.

No subsidies any longer. You pay the price that they profit on. Subsidized "low priced' high quality foodstuffs are HISTORY. I used toi go to Binions at midnight for the 10 oz NY, complete meal with baked, tossed sals and bread/butter. That was $2 and subsidized by the casino play. Now we get to smoke pot and eat up as well!

Good buffet, but I had a bad experience on my last visit. Me and my wife arrived there at brunch time,and when it flipped to dinner the extremely unprofessional and rude manager called Jamie aggressively yanked the plates out of our hands because brunch was over, nobody warned us beforehand that we couldn't stay after brunch,and when we asked for an explanation of why she was doing that,since she literally out of nowhere started taking the food out of our hands,she started being extremely rude and started yelling telling us to leave,never in my life have I ever experienced something so ridiculous and childish and unprofessional in establishment, the problem wasn't that we couldn't stay after brunch,but the fact that nobody warned us and the way that the manager behaved, we left there feeling totally humiliated and disappointed, even the waiters seemed to be in shock because of Jamie's extreme and unnecessary reaction, I just really hope that she pays the consequences of her actions and that this never happens with anybody else!

Vegas can be a social hell-hole. Had the misfortune to have to go to hospital for a minor accident and the staff was some of the rudest, uptight staff I have ever seen, especially in a hospital. Because a woman's visit was over, they then told her she was not allowed to hang out in the waiting room. Now she was in a wheelchair, and it was very cold outside as it gets around 11pm. Even though they were shoving her out, they were also trying to take the blanket she had, as it "was hospital property". I don't think they actually did, but they were mocking her as if they would, in retaliation for her complaining about being shoved out to the cold.

Takes to long while the line backs up. Precooked lobster can last a week in the fridge. the shell is water tight and the juice is retained. made a career of selling lobster, not one was cooked from raw and served immediately. Everyone says delicious and no one says shitty and I got sick. thast means everything.@@legs_21

I'm so happy that someone else noticed that. As soon as they showed the crates of them I was hoping they had just cooked them and had them waiting to go out to the buffet because people eat them that fast. Then I saw the chef dumping them into the boiling water and thought to myself "Congratulations you are going to serve overcooked lobster, but people won't care because they are getting it for super cheap".

I was there last February and yes, it's very hard to find a buffet that serves lobsters all you can eat. it seems the Palms is the only place that serves it for now. and $65 is a very good price especially for lobsters. you go to Bachannel and it cost like almost $100 but they don't serve lobsters at that buffet. now, I have to say, the food was very good. however, I like the lobsters that are opened. not the one that we have to peel open the lobster. the peel open one kinda tastes a bit like rubber. but the opened one, was cooked perfectly. I had several of those lobsters and has few other stuff too. and as for desserts, a lot of people gathered to get geletin ice cream. it was incredibly delicous. when I return to Vegas, I would love to go to the Palms for buffet again. however, they only served lobsters one day a week. but if you go, it's worth it. enjoy!!

I am an islander and retired chef. The lobsters are cooked fully ahead of time, 8-10 minutes. Once chilled for storage, any heat method will reheat them but steam is too hot. Dunking them in simmering water does the trick quickly. As far as anything getting watery, the lobster has a water proof shell as do all things. I used to cook all the lobsters for the week at once on Wednesday afternoon and reheat through Sunday. Not one negative comment in 20 years. Maine lobster is the real deal. South African, deep water tails are considered the best, 35 a pound, raw and alive, retail.

Have you been to the Saffron buffet at the Atlantis hotel in Dubai? If you're in Dubai definitely go there, it's legit the best buffet I've ever been to, I think you can call it the perfect buffet. Tuesday is the seafood night, all you can eat lobster cooked the way you want it, jumbo fresh red prawns, super good oysters on the half shell, Japanese sushi chefs making sushi all night (not your normal 'buffet' sushi) etc.

Next time I go to Vegas, I'd have to go to this buffet twice. Once would be for the lobster night, and one would be just for a regular night. I assume the regular night has everything more or less the same BUT the lobster. A lot of the regular food looks very good and I'd want to try it. But for $69 on lobster night, likely that's all I'm eating, except for maybe desert. Then I'd come back again and try the regular food.

I gamble twice a week and the Palms is one day and the others are the second day. I sit very close to the buffet and never went in. I was born and raised on an island and fresh seafood is the 'bare' minimum. This is the third video of this kind I have watched and they all scream, come on in! So, my upcoming plans will be the crab buffet first. I assume it is Alaskan King crab and I have had my share of Maine lobster in my chef life. Thanks for a great review!
