Thank you for filming my old pride and joy. Glad to see the owner enjoying it, and pulling bad idea out of the mud at the 15:00 mark.

@The 4x4 Lab yeah man, I meant it! I have an 89 Vitara. Here in the States, it has a Geo badge, though. I just picked it up yesterday from a frame swap restoration. Long live the Zuk's!

Great Video, very nice to see these Jimnys !! I bought a brand new Jimny jb43 recently, it's the Jimny Forest version ... Here in Brazil, Suzuki has unfortunately discontinued this year the Jimny jb 43.
@The4x4Lab2 жыл бұрын
The third-gen Jimny was in production for 24 years pretty much unchanged. That's more than most brands and models 🙂 Fortunately, the new Jimny is almost the same as the last one 😄🚙
@nikolaynikolchev17242 жыл бұрын
The new model of Jimny is strange and, as you said - nostalgic look of the old Samurai. But this model is pretty passable as Samurai was. Great video.
@The4x4Lab2 жыл бұрын
So which Jimny/Samurai generation would you get? :)
@nikolaynikolchev17242 жыл бұрын
@@The4x4Lab Honestly depends. First i have to choose a car, because months ago I was thinking about Subaru, but then I gave up on this brand for a reasons. I guess the "comfort" and specs of the new Jimny are better than the previous one, so I would rather bet on the Jimny. But it certainly won't be Samurai, because it's like a cart 😂

I liked that view of the OME lift kit from underneath, those springs look beefy. I need to upgrade my springs, I went with a shady company and they sent me some generic springs that are surprisingly light duty. They do fit but not at all suited for a Jimny.
@The4x4Lab2 жыл бұрын
I think it's worth getting some quality springs because you will know for exactly how many kilograms thay are rated. Especially if you have some added weight such as drawers or rooftop tent.
@jessebrown14002 жыл бұрын
@@The4x4Lab I am looking at big double convoluted Firestone airbags the next time it needs a suspension re-tune. I'll have to figure out what I need to do welding wise to relocate the dampers when I weld in new perches for the bags. I had OME lift springs on my Grand Vitara and they were fantastic, I had H&R lowering springs also which were better because MacPherson cars don't lift well. The camber went out in the back multilink as well and sourcing proper kits for that is almost impossible. You'd have to make custom A-arms.
