Again, I just want to state my appreciation for your detailed videos. I have a couple CX500's I am slowly working on. eventually, I want to rebuild the engines. aside from the service manuals, I can't think of a better wealth of handy information other than your videos. it definitely helps to have someone talk about the ins and outs of the machine as you go along. Shes sounding good, and I can't wait to see her finished, and on the road.

Best feeling in the world. That first start up after all the time one spends on a bike project. Great job.

When I have some significant progress I will send you a picture of my GL500. Right now Murray Feldman is working on my carburetors and I bought a gas tank without rust because mine was rusty inside.

Hi there, I've really enjoyed watching your series! What was it causing the misfire on first start up? I too have a cx500 but it's currently out of action after I parked up one evening, went back a few days later and misfiring like shit on the right side?! Any advice would be much appreciated!
@TheOdontologist4 жыл бұрын
In my case it was a few things, but mainly electrical (see video 69.5). Can't really say what could be causing yours.

hi - love your venturi carb filters - i take it they stay fitted due to suction or have you had to make more mods ? thanks for a very informative series - next project please...................
@TheOdontologist4 жыл бұрын
Thanks Stephen. The foam filters didn't work. Not only were they getting sucked by carb intake, but the also impeded air flow. I am running without filters, just the mesh. Runs great as is but I have to get a filter sulution.

@@TheOdontologist yes I just tried them and made no difference to my carbs. ....I take it you changed your jets then What jets you using 120...and 90 ? I have standard jets in and bike starts but the idle just runs away and acceleration just kills the bike
@TheOdontologist4 жыл бұрын
@@stephenkosloff6081 without air box you need larger jets. 90/120
