Hello Andy. Great to see the Logan String Melody II in your selection. One of the best string synths ever made. Kebu used to have one in his original set up. Logan did other stringers so I thought I would let you know it's proper name. I'm surprised that you don't have any of the Yamaha SK range or the Korg Trident but your high end vintage selection more than make up for divide down string synths. Some of your nineties synths remind me of Turnkey on Charing Cross Road back in the days. I'm really looking forward to seeing your Hammond organ and the Steinway piano. Do you have a Wurlitzer or a Rhodes?
@AndyWhitmore3 күн бұрын
HI - great reply - I have a wurlitzer 200A, Fender Rhodes 73 Stage MK1 & Hohner Clavinet D6 - plus a few more synths! Hope you enjoy next week!
@RoomAtTheTopStudio3 күн бұрын
@@AndyWhitmore You have what I call the dream full set. I have the Rhodes 88 Stage MK1. Usually musicians have a Rhodes or a Wurly and one is jealous of the other for having the one that they don't have. I've met a few Wurly owners and we joke about it. Having both and the Hohner is our dream. It's about having the real thing and having the feel as well as the authentic sound. Have a great week and I look forward to the part two video

What a great set up Andy, over the years you really have managed to collected some of the best that there is to offer. With so many timbres covered in your collection is there any need or want for some of the current offerings on the market today, analog or digital? I must say from a poly point of view I have been impressed with what I have heard of the new Moog Muse although I have not yet bite the bullet.

The one I am most fascinated with among the models you displayed for us here is the Piano Plus 70. Out of all these, that’s the model that appears to have received the least KZbin coverage or attention in the vintage Keyboard/synthesizer community. Not that it hasn’t been demoed, but it hasn’t been featured as much as all the rest. Even that string synthesizer seems to have gotten more attention. I first learned about it from the book that introduced me to the wonderful world of electronic music making, a 1984 book by an author named Larry Kettelkamp called Electronic Musical Instruments: What They Do, How They Work. In recent years, something I have wondered about the Piano Plus is whether or not it has the same synthesis engine inside of it as the Roland MKS-10 module.
