I've heard of the Acadian and Beaumont line of General Motors cars manufactured in Canada for the Canadian market but never actually saw one in person let alone at the drag strip! Upon first seeing what appeared to be your typical chevy II box nova I happened upon the owner Jeff Estes who told me to take a look at the front grille. To my surprise it was a Pontiac Acadian Invader! Jeff and his son Colin made the trip to Medicine Hat, in Alberta Canada to acquire the '65. Powered by a Scott Shafiroff 565 ci bbc with the 2 speed powerglide trans and a Ford 9"/4.56 gear this Invader lives up to it's name! Looks like a Chevelle in the back but looks like Nova parts would interchange in most panels

Owned a 64 and a 66 Chevy II , and was familiar with the Acadian models , but never heard of the Invader ? Was that the Canadian SS ? COOL Car and another great Video !

Sport Deluxe was the SS in Canada Invader was the Chevy11, Canso SD was the Nova SS

The Chevelle was called a Beaumont. Canadian cars are definitely cool and rare.

Had both but the Beaumont was rare in 63 Chevy11, in 64 was a Chevelle A body, Canso was X body in 64-67 in Canada
