The nock blew out because the inside of that shaft is an air tight chamber. When the field point slammed into the target steel it forced that point back into the shaft raising the air pressure inside the shaft to the point that it defeated the glue at the nock. I have some 5000fps video of it happening and it's wild to watch.

Mfjj right on seeing a noticeable difference at distance. One is a 204 the other is 246 inner diameter. One is rolled carbon the other is woven. If you do the tuning you can get a .006 arrow to fly just as good as the .001. as a target or 3d arrow the warrior is a good economical arrow. Let's face it if you shoot a lot your going to lose or destroy arrows. Personally I'd rather lose a cheaper arrows and use my better arrows for hunting

You are absolutely right about the parallels with golf. Years ago I met a guy in my archery club who told me the reason people like archery is because when you hit the center of the target you're "getting your goodie." You can have five terrible shots and that one that hits the center still feels good. It keeps you coming back. The same goes for golf. You can have a terrible round, but you remember that one approach shot that landed two feet from the flag or that long putt you sank. Getting your goodie....so true !!

100% on point with your outro. I see too many people that research graphs and charts between products that are nearly splitting hairs just to pay the extra for something you won’t be able to squeeze that performance out of without an extreme amount of experience. Great video Tim, way to take the time to build the arrows carefully and methodically. I believe that truly pays off. Only think I would add to your arrow building process is doing anothet spin test after you install the insert & field point with the hot melt glue. In my personal experience that glue can build up in certain spots of the insert causing the arrow wobble in a spin test. Good thing is you just need to boil some water, dip the tip of the arrow in for 2-3 seconds and readjust/ spin test until it sounds perfectly. Love the content Tim, keep it up!

Cool initial experiment, but I wish you had stress testing them over time. Main issue I had with less expensive arrows is matching a whole dozen (which you did with the spine tester) and prolonged use. Target archers shoot the same arrows thousands of times… and they become “softer” and need re-matching… But they shoot. Even with just two vanes…

Wassup Brother. Awesome video. I just recently switched from Gold Tip Hunter XT 340's to Victory RIP 350's for this season. I'll probably go to the TKO's eventually, but I'm happy with the RIP's for now. Now I have a choice of broadheads to make. Iron Will single bevel 125's or the VPA Omega 125 single bevel. I'd be interested in seeing how those Warriors handle broadheads up front. I'm sure they're not spine aligned so they might do some funky stuff. But, you never know unless you do it. Keep up the amazing work. It definitely helps a lot of us.

I hv been shooting arrows as a target sports since 2005. I hv hunted games once. Over the year, I hv observed that different arrows (price wise), will perform proportional to its price. For target archery, you will definitely need super consistant arrow characteristics because you want a very tight arrow groupings over a distance of up to 90m. Arrows production requires high tech machines and materials. These machines will ensure that the arrow straightness, can as small as 0.001" tolerance. Cheaper arrows however, may not hv these kind of performance therefore they can be quite inconsistant in their grouping.

Buy some X10 protours. You know you want to. I got 2dz shafts and 4dz SS points, pins, and nocks 15 years ago. Still have more than a dozen and it’s the only outdoor target arrow I shoot. It’s a real advantage in the wind. Also the shaft is so thin that I squeezes into a tight group of arrows. People are constantly buying new bows but buying these arrows but in my opinion investing in X10s is the best money spent in outdoor target archery.

I love my gold tips. I bought a single set or rip tkos on a trip and we passed through lancaster. They reccomended 400s for my draw. One of them was a defect and broke during the shot. Victory wouldn't cover it because they reccomend a 340 spine for my draw and lancaster stood by their stance that 400 spine was appropriate. Won't get another victory product after that. Gt hunters are more than just fine and half the cost for a higher tolerance.
