This is my all time favourite car........taken to the next level. My favourite memory is RAC Lombard rally early 80's watching the Audi accelerating out of the water jump, and up the hill. The back end squatted down and went up the hill like a bullet from a gun. And that sound. If my ship comes in I WILL be buying one.

I had a 1982 Coupe GT and that 5 cylinder produced a solid 110 hp but I loved it. Put Koni suspension which lowered it and Rial wheels. I sure do miss it.

That car defines my youth obsession with rally cars. A good family friend of my Dads had one in the 80s and kept it/modified it through the 90s and it was the first "fast car" I ever drove and I was hooked... I love the boxy lines (im a VW guy and I think the MK2 bodies esp. the Rallye, are some of the sexiest designs ever).

Back in the 80’s these car was the standard for super high performance rally cars. The godfather along with all the other group B super rally cars. It changed the way on perspective of cars, superlight with mega horsepower. If you got the balls to drive it on the edge like Walter you were a true hero with true balls of steel!!! A customer friend of mine is Keith Edwards. He owns and races a UK and European Audi Sport Quattro S1 hill climb championship 850hp car. Essentially the same car but much much better. Back in the 90s when i just turned 19 i owned my first Audi. It was an Sports quattro, but a standart one. Now a few years later,at the age of 44 i still drive an Audi. An Audi a6 Avant. After seeing this video i couldn't get that big smile off my face for the rest of the day. My full option A6 is so boring to drive compared to this unique piece of history.
