@matthewsims3595 жыл бұрын
I guess the morgans just has too much going on for woodstack 2019. I think that big pile will either be sold from the pile or in ibc totes.
@TKCL5 жыл бұрын
@@matthewsims359 sold from the pile would definitely help them out. Ibc totes still requires picking up and stacking. Either way is deserving of a video, I'm curious about the amount of time involved in sorting and cleaning the pile up.

I have been watching for about 8 months now. I am 74 years old and am a retired logger. I still cut and heat my home with wood. The only heat source I have is a good wood stove in my basement. My home is modest, 1300 sq. ft. but sufficient for my wife and I. I am envious of the life style you live with all of the equipment, looks like fun. What this comment is about is the music that you play on your videos; it’s great! It’s diverse, it supports the mood of the task being shot and covers all age groups. I personally am not familiar with most of they’re artists but once again find it to be appropriate. Please keep it up. You folks seem to be comfortable with who you are and will and will do as you feel fit. Thanks for keeping me in the woods and allowing me to sit on your shoulder and observe your adventures. Starting at 4:45 it looks like the debarker and the blade are a little misaligned. Is it just the camera angle or just me.
@munched555 жыл бұрын
Beat me to it. The band saw isn't tracking in the bark blade groove. There must be some adjustment on one of those two blades. Can't be such a big deal as there's bark on the opposite side that isn't addressed at all.

Well a few of us picked up on this one I see. Well Mike, this tells me your camera work is quite good and your viewers are sharp enough to pick up on a small detail such as a misaligned debarker. Either some viewers are sharper than the average bear or the videos skew our viewpoint enough to ask about alignment of the debarker?
@Tomrryaniv5 жыл бұрын
I immediately saw that as well! It made me wonder if we can’t see it via the camera angle as well as reality looks, but it seems to be 1/4” to 3/8” misaligned. I also noticed that the deviation appears to be less as the debarker moves inward. Anywho, I really, really, really like your videos Mike. We need to get you and Melissa out here in Wranglerstar Land!!

@@munched55 Debarker is on side where tooth enters cut. Dirt here will be dragged into cut acting like sandpaper to dull the tooth. On other side of log, tooth is leaving cut, and dirt here will just be thrown into the trash chute.

I have been watching all of your videos for quite some time now, but maybe I have missed more detail on the sawmill. Is there any chance that you could do a sawmill video with the perspective from the operator's view? In other words, looking over Mike's shoulder. I would like to see which controls are used to raise the blade and how you know where to place the blade to make sure all wood has a consistent thickness. I rememebr the initial sawmill video, but I don't remember seeing one from your view. If there is one, please let me know and I will find it. Keep up the great work!
