Thanks Dan. I don’t even drive a truck but never miss one of your videos. Strangely, I find I have started critiquing other flatbedders’ tarp jobs as I drive down the road. Here’s to the end of allergy season!

I had commented to my wife a few days ago about your patience while driving your rig. I stated that you rarely make any comments about the crazy drivers and that you must see a number of them. . . . well, today you commented that a fellow was driving on the shoulder. . . . we see a few shoulder drivers here in Canada. I also enjoy the sounds of your truck going up or down the gears. 😊 I always watch my mirrors especially when pulling my 5th wheel RV. You know why.

I grew up in southern Ontario and started driving in the snow & ice in the 60's. I retired from trucking about 5 years ago but "retired" from driving 401 in the snow five years prior to that. As you well know, Ontario has a large number of truck drivers from southern Asia and while I've found them to be fine people, I don't care to share the road with them as their first encounter with icy roads is in an 18-wheeler.😉

Dan Dan the professional flat deck man. Boy that was short but sweet. I loved the music at the end of the video. Nice tarp job, with different heights and each taking up a different space I bet you had to think a bit but knowing you, you just take it in stride. I always look forward to your videos. Have a great and a safe day. Happy trails and happy motoring.

think i mentioned this already, but we use to pick up aluminum coils in Kentucky and deliver them to a newspaper in Denver. once upon a time i worked at a local newspaper as a janitor and i found out what the aluminum coils were for. they put the newsprint on cut lengths of aluminum and can be used in the printing machines.

Drove through the ATL August two years ago coming from Alabama to Norcross for a model train show. Sadly, I forgot abt. two college football games abt the time I drove through. Never, ever, ever again unless I’m on a bus w/someone else driving. Came back on the North Perimeter of I-285, coming to a complete standstill. Don’t even want to drive over for a Braves game. Safe travels. Give Miss Bailey a hug, smooches, & scratches behind both ears. She who must be obeyed.

I see it all the time. Impatient drivers who think the shoulder is a special lane just for them because they can't wait in line. They just HAVE to move to the front of the traffic. I laugh a little when people won't let them dive back into the right lane and they will get stuck sometimes when the shoulder lane disappears.

If you ever think about buying a different truck again in the future and looking for a Peterbilt with high fuel efficiency, I would recommend getting the model 579. As far as I know the Model 579 is the top most fuel efficient semi truck-tractor Peterbilt has ever made. I could be wrong, but I think the 579 is the fleet truck that replaced the 386 when production of the 386 was discontinued.
