They really didn't do this justice on the studio version. In the 90-92 live versions McCabe uses a really energetic riff which the song simply thrives from. Even the darker Camden Live version uses the same riff. But for the album he got rid of it and it just sounds more wall of sound thrashed out, and all subsequent live versions became the same. Some people might prefer the album version, but I really love how melodic Nick was on the earlier versions
