My ‘66 Mustang project looks a lot like yours. Colorado car now in Georgia. Replacing floors now. Plus got some upper firewall/ cowl hat rust to deal with. Im 66 and working alone, so it takes a while… But I enjoy it. My therapy I guess!

For the Centari paint I have I use a reducer and hardener from the paint shop. Will look up the name on it I think the hardener was $15 a bottle. I'd paint the whole car... I rebuilt the lower rear of the wheel well on the pass side but got lucky on the drivers and got a good factory one from a friend to weld in. I am also starting to clean off the underside of the car and oh that undercoating in the wheel well is so much fun to remove... Lots and lots of seam sealer. I estimate the factory used about 3/4 gallon but then wasted another 3/4 gallon with how messily they applied it. They could have cut the price of the car by $20 if they hadn't wasted so much of it... I also don't like that Ford didn't make real inner fenders for most of their cars. Might be able to grab a plastic one from a newer car and cut it down to fit. Would make it quieter too.

I have though about going to the U-pull-it yard and look for something that would work for a plastic inner wheel well. Thanks for the info for centauri paint activator. I’m still vacillating about whether to paint the whole car or not. We’ll see how I feel after the car is back together mechanically. Lots to do until then.
