Some pretty crucial things missing from the translation here around the 5 minute mark. This made it seem like they were cursing Tarja and Marcelo off almost for no reason but actually they were frustrated because Tarja & Marcelo left without even bothering asking if anyone else needed a ride to the hotel. The "Thanks for nothing" part was actually a sarcastic "thanks a lot for the ride" aimed to T & M. I don't know why they would translate it like this. Fortunately I'm here to save the situation in a very timely fashion 13 years too late.

5.23-5.43 shows the band's feeling toward Tarja and Marcello. I thought it was some kind of a joke until Emppu told the cameraman to shut off. Omg

Rewatching this made me realize that some people have this narrative where they blame Tuomas for everything, and act like he maliciously fired Tarja and the other guys said nothing just to keep their jobs, but in reality... Marco was always Tuomas right hand man, and you can see in this documentary that Jukka is the most pissed off against Tarja. Not just there but in all the snippets where they get asked what sucks the most on tour and he's all "CANCELLING THE SECOND U.S TOUR. THAT SUCKED AND I'LL NEVER FORGET IT" and we all know it was cancelled by Tarja, and how in the future he wants to "never have to cancel gigs except for major illness."

But please also remember the part where Tarja talked about how the band started a song without her even being on stage and she had to join them midway AND how they had to postpone a show by 1 day because she could barely speak. The members were giving their energy on stage but they were mostly playing instruments. Tarja was giving her energy AND forcing her vocal chords throughout 100 concerts one after the other, it was a lot more exhausting for her. There's no angels nor devils in this story.

She definately wasn't a diva,she was and is a very sweet person....But Marcello changed her a lot(I believe he didn't want to do any harm,it was just his way of acting)...It's very sad to see this,Tarja ignoring the other memebers and just being in the corner with Marcello,not even checking out on sick Marco...And the other memebers are so angry with her and they have every right to be ...:/

@@mattchewhadaway167 These kind of things grow slowly, it's drop by drop - and now it's closing the day when the cup runs over. It's not a single incident, there were many cases of lack of communication, late from the rehearsals - the work suffered from many incidents. I'm not saying they handled it well in the end, with their letter. Immaturity here, yes. But so was the treatment from the other party. Perhaps better not to pick sides too much, why your comment was actually balancing hers - just in the other end of the scale.

I saw them ignoring her, not the other way around… They're mad at her for being married to him, and they were annoyed with his interjecting in the band.

I actually saw them being quite rude to her. rather those who ignore it are them and it is clearly seen. sometimes when you get together, they put you aside and then blame you for distancing yourself. Their lives used to be very crazy and she was calmer, there was nothing wrong with her going to the hotel or spending time with her husband, it is logical that this is the case, but they evidently wanted her to act as if her did not exist. husband ... who worked with them. sorry, i don't speak english very well

Siendo objetivos.. lo que yo creo es que les molesta el simple hecho de que Tarja se haya casado con alguien que trabaja con ellos y por lo tanto tenian que ver seguido. Es muy inmaduro de su parte enojarse tanto porque Tarja se fue al hotel con su marido.. que carajos. Tal vez no pasa tanto tiempo con ellos, porque ignoran por completo a Marcelo, Toumas literalmente mira al suelo cuando aparece, realmente lo odia. Entonces, siendo hostiles como pretenden que Tarja actúe? Yo la veo intentando interactuar con ellos sin mucho éxito. Parecian esposos celosos, haciendo comentarios rudos cuando Tarja pasaba cerca, o enojados de que se haya ido al hotel. Quienes se comportaron como divas fueron ellos.

Creo que entiendo a las dos partes, por el lado de la banda yo creo que todos hemos tenido ese amigo o amiga que no sabe vivir sin su pareja y siempre termina imponiendo su presencia a su grupo de amigos aunque sabe perfectamente que nadie ahí lo o la tolera. Pero también puedo comprender el porque Tarja llegó a esos extremos y no hay que ser ningún analista ni estar presentes con ellos para darnos cuenta del porque de varias de sus acciones. Definitivamente Nightwish y Tarja fueron hechos para encontrarse, pero no para permanecer juntos, en fin.

@musikmood Tarja said "I don't need..." only one time. Tuomas said that they were in this moment were talking is not enough so they weren't talking much. We don't know if he tried, he haven't said it in any of his interviews. At one of the shows someone attacked Tarja, she was crying but no one from NW stayed with her so something in her broke. Tarja was a part of NW and many people love the combination of her voice and Tuomas's music, in new one there is only one part of two so theywantherback

This quarantine has been such a pain in the ass, taking online vocal performance classes at home, around all my family members and even having my neighbors dealing with my singing is definetely a challenge and not a fun time. @musikmood Yes, and of course you can tell everything about her attitude to the band from few words she said, taken out of context. I guess you also took part in that conversation. I don't get why people are histerical about ''I don't need NW'' thing. Why? When she said it, she was still in the band, and wanted to record one more album with them, therefore she was in NW not becouse she NEEDED it, but becouse she WANTED TO. But people always hear what they want to hear.

Tarja (said like Taryah) It's the same name as Daria in English. Even the Finnish T easily sounds D for the English ears. She was in the interviews in the earlier episodes. Here I don't know why she isn't there, but neither does she explain it well to the band - they clearly react to her absence and uncommunicative moves.
