Directed by Ville Lipiäinen.
What better way to conclude the year as to recapture one of its outstanding highlights by revisiting Finnish Symphonic Metal legends NIGHTWISH taking the likewise legendary Wacken Open Air by storm? After being decorated with triple platinum status in Finland as well as gold status in numerous European countries (Germany, Switzerland, Poland, among others) for their most current studio masterpiece »Imaginaerum« and following the highly successful release of their very own fantasy motion picture »Imaginaerum by Nightwish«, the band is closing in its cycle of the `Imaginaerum World Tour´ with a festival triple -- Wacken Open Air being the first of those final shows. The `Imaginaerum World Tour´ 2013-2013 visited in 34 countries, consisted of 104 shows with total audience attendance of over 1,5 million fans.
And what would be a better way to celebrate the grand finale as to capture the entire show at Wacken Open Air -- the world's biggest heavy metal festival -- for a live DVD/Blu-ray? The live show in the front of 85 000 screaming metalheads was directed by Ville Lipiäinen, filmed with seventeen cameras and has a total duration of 85 minutes.
Mastermind and keyboardist Tuomas Holopainen states:
"The time has come soon to wrap up the magical & memorable one-and-a-half year `Imaginaerum World Tour´ 2012-2013! We still have three shows left, one of them being at the legendary Wacken Open Air Metal Festival on the 3rd of August. This show will be something extra special, since it will be released later this year on DVD/Blu-ray, together with a massive `Imaginaerum World Tour´ 2012-2013 documentary. Our darling flying Dutchwoman, Floor Jansen, has been nothing but incredible during her time in Nightwish on this tour, so this is a perfect opportunity to immortalize the current vibe of the band on film! "
The second disc consists of 120-minute tour documentary 'Please Learn The Setlist in 48 Hours', with no short of drama or overall madness. Also, there is a 16-minute NIGHTWISH Table Hockey Tournament, filmed on tour. On top of this there are two music clips: 'I want my tears back' (Live at Hartwall Arena) and 'Ghost Love Score' (Live in Buenos Aires).
DVD 1 Track List:
01. Dark Chest Of Wonders
02. Wish I Had An Angel
03. She Is My Sin
04. Ghost River
05. Ever Dream
06. Storytime
07. I Want My Tears Back
08. Nemo
09. Last Of The Wilds
10. Bless The Child
11. Romanticide
12. Amaranth
13. Ghost Love Score
14. Song Of Myself
15. Last Ride Of The Day
16. Outro (Imaginaerum)

My favorite song to sing live is Ghost Love Score! On my first tour with Nightwish I started to sing the ending differently, to add something to it. Then there was a concert DVD [2013’s Showtime, Storytime] showing this, and everyone wanted to keep hearing the new ending. It suddenly became a ‘thing’ - there was expectation, so it became special for me. Thank you everyone!

Thank you! for taking an already perfect song and taking it to a new dimension. -and you do that with most, if not all of your performances. There are 7+ billion people in the world. Most of us would be happy to be the right piece that completes a puzzle. It's awe inspiring to see that it's possible to not just be a piece that can finish the puzzle, but you can also add a glossy finish & a sculpted frame to it. You & Nightwish - Please keep making that beautiful music for the soul

Thats nothing Metal will ever be. SO, Taylor Swift, as talented as She is, will always get the Money with 10 Words, and 4/4 Chorus/Verse/Chorus/Bridge/Chorus, 3 Minutes -End. Pppl dont want to invest in Music, they want to digest, easy and fast. Thats Pop, and it got its very mercantile Place in our western Culture. Symph Metal, Classical Music, and many other Niche-Variations(in term of Listeners/Money grossing) mostly got in Common, that they are not resolving by the first Listening. So, no Airtime, mostly play on special Stations. Thats modern fast Life, and i doubt we can change this. But we can cherish the Pearls like Nightwish for ourselfs in our Communities, for me thats enough:)

I like Annette. She’s fun. But I’ll never ever never forget the day I downloaded After Forever’s “Energize Me” from Kazaa. I was on a post-evanescence rush. Fell hard for Lacuna Coil and then came the beast mode Nightwish. So I was on the lookout for more femme-fronted bands. Listened to Energize Me and my ears, my head, my mind, my belly did all sort of flip-flops and cartwheels. Floored I was. 19 or so at the time.Nightwish, though. The oceanic band that never truly leaves me. This song, this band, this composer, THIS woman are one of the best and grandest things to come out of planet earth. 🌍It’s like she’s singing for Kings Magistrates and Dignitaries. Gives it her ALL. And all I’m gonna say is, she truly earned her throne in this band. And all that love from the people. She has served her magnetic voice like a servant though she herself is a Queen. There’s lots of awesome great and fun bands, then there’s Nightwish. Tuomas is too deep, too profound. And if you connect with his music and lyrics, there’s a profound oceanic reason for that, my loves. What he composes is but a glimpse of divine and heavenly beauty. Only a glimpse heard and seen through a glass darkly. Proverbs 18:16 A man's gift maketh room for him, and bringeth him before great men. 🎁 That’s Floor. That’s Nightwish. 🕊️👑✨✨✨✨✨✨✨

I hope she will have a great future as a member of nightwish and generally as a (metal) musician....she´s really great. Can´t get enought of her voice. This is the best demonstration. @@Tuikkari a mix of two things - sound: he has just the perfect sound for Nightwish's music. deep, resounding, a heartbeat's vibe that keeps everything together - playstyle: simple, direct, once again perfectly fitting the music. There's so much going on through the song that technical fills would just compete for attention, so he goes for a seamless groove. He's there laying the foundations, until the song needs him to amp up the intensity, and then he makes his presence felt. A great example of talent at the service of the whole group

@@nafisahmohamed4772 Chill your nuggets, that's not a duo with some hired staff here. Jukka went on break years ago, because he suffered from severe insomnia. He is btw. also responsible for management and other background stuff, wich he kept doing during his break. And to stay with the background work and retiring from performing was his own decision after his health improved so much off-stage. His fill-in is now an official band member. As for the singer: Tarja is a solo artist. She always was and you could tell that from the very beginning when you went to concerts. It was like 'Nightwish & Tarja'. They didn't even practice together. It was the success that made them stay together. And when they finally separated, the guys wanted Floor to beginn with. But meh. She was pregnant and wanted to stay out of music business to take care of family matters. And when Anette left (Well, with her everyone was a bitch, including herself) they asked Floor again and here we are now.

Floor Jansen is the female equivalent of Freddie Mercury. I say this as a life long Queen fan. I’m almost 60 now, I never thought I’d ever, in my lifetime, find another artist who had the talent, the stage presence and commanded the audience like Freddie. Floor is absolutely compelling, spellbinding, you can’t take your eyes of her. Once you have seen her and heard that voice, there’s no going back. This band as a whole is EVERYTHING! 💙

I was there and i could not enjoy it actually haha I was not a big nightwhish fan back then. I have been waiting all day long in the first row to see my favourite band back in the day, Subway to Sally, who played right after Nightwish. It has been already 10 hours in the summer heat, me and my friend where tired and dehydrated because we didnt drink anything because we didnt want to have to leave front row to go to the toilet lol. And just before Nightwish started, some bulky brazilian guy brute forced us out of the front row without mercy haha. He was just bigger and stronger and wrestled us out. So not a good was to go in. And on top of that, honestly the sound right in front of the stage was not really balanced. So i actually didn't really enjoy the concert. Sounds crazy to think about my experience now, because i think this is one of the best music videos of all time. I come back to watch this over and over again :D

BUT this song, this voice directly speaks to something deep inside me, which I didn't even know its existence anymore and it's answering with tears everytime. I'm not mad about it.
